For all the talk about Mazara getting better of late, all he’s offered on last 30 games is the occasional single-hit game (usually a single).  He’s likely not giving us anything we can’t expect even from cold Leury.  Let Leury play

I know your point, I just disagree. Moncada, McCann and Madrigal also went 0 fer yesterday. That doesnt mean they were wrong moves. The only way to get unrusty is get your hacks in and Leury did that and needs more. Howevet if Mazara plays and does well Ill be happy. How has Mazara done against Bassitt in the past ?

Garcia was healthy for what, a week and a half? 

He played in 16 games and was good for .6 bWAR and .4fWAR.  Mazara meanwhile was good for -.3bWAR and .2fWAR.  So while you may view them both as terrible options, the degree to which they are terrible is not the same.

Putting EE in the lineup is a joke in and of itself, but batting him FIFTH would be enough for me to shoot Renteria into the sun. THIS IS THE PLAYOFFS!

The ESPN crew, in a rare moment of useful information, said he looked quite gimpy pregame.  He might be ready in a week or available to PH only.

If eloy has structural damage in his foot/ankle than playing on one leg isn't going to do anybody any good and could lead to long term problems.  This isn't a time to be a tough guy.  Other guys will have to step up.

They gave him enough playing time to "get right" and he never did.  At least this probably indicates he's gone this offseasn.
