This effectively moves Avisail Garcia to a 4th OF/bench role. Their OF is now Cain, Bradley, Yelich - basically it is impossible to get a hit on a fly ball against them. In that weak NL Central...could be a difference maker?

Bradley will cover RF and CF. Cain is getting old and was injured. Avi will get some strokes so I don't see a problem.

Carlos Correa turned down a six year, $120 million extension from the Astros.  Is in final arbitration year at $11.3 million.  Sides will continue to negotiate until Opening Day.  Betting Correa makes a wager on himself, gives up guaranteed payday but also gets out from the Astros’ cheating scandal with a fresh start elsewhere. 

Reports indicate the Mets have offered Lindor a 10-year contract worth $325 million, though he's seeking upward of 12 years and $385 million. New owner Steve Cohen has made his feelings very public on social media in recent days, saying he hopes Lindor decides to sign, among other things.

Mets first baseman Pete Alonso has also made his feelings public and his feelings are decidedly pro-Lindor. Alonso told reporters on Tuesday that Lindor deserves a $400 million deal.
