Tonight's the last late game for 5 months.

  • Look, Madrigal has been bad. But if you’re already at ‘it’s time to cut bait and bring in ROUGNED ODOR’ you need to step off the ledge.

James Baldwin was the opposing pitcher. Wow there were some bad arms coming out of the farm and ones that they tried relying on didn’t always work.

Kip Wells was really good his first season and went the wrong direction before the trade...but the late 90's were a wasteland.

Wasn't the other guy Snyder...?

Looked it up, Sirotka (very good before injury) and the unforgettable Jaime Navarro.  Wells had just 7 starts in 1999 with an ERA of 4ish.

Ok, any guesses on who Hawk would say was the most competitive guy he played with?

I would guess some guy he played with in the minors.

Gotta be Yas.

I wonder if his reach is more prominent due to his set up?

He’s an interesting test case for Narron as well.

Yaz, the answer is always Yaz when it comes to Hawk.

I agree with Stone that Lucas is most likely still building up strength and doesn't have his good stuff tonight. Probably has way more adrenaline pitching opening day near his hometown last start leading to a higher velocity.

I remember after the first inning my dad apologized and said we could leave if i wanted  Then after Cameron's 3rd homerun, my dad said...sorry we are staying for his next homerun. And then it happened.

Not to mention a lot of angry wives on the Southside.

First AB Yermin has looked bad in. It happens.

Mercedes really struggles against RHP spin

Why did Mercedes slow down there?

It's the 2nd start of the year...

It’s April and he’s a tick down. It’s fine.

Lucas gutting this one out, impressive.  The previous version would have melted down in that bad inning.

Yeah was wondering the same thing.

Sadler throws nothing but curveballs.
