Twins had a huge, much-needed comeback win today as well.

Might be teams with two game winning/losing streaks if this plays out according to typical Sox/Twins form the last two decades.

What?

Diving just isn't faster. It's wasted motion and deceleration

I think you can do it correctly where diving would be faster. Problem is, most people can’t do it.

Think about an outfielder diving to make a catch, where the glove is right above the ground. You think if they just ran without diving, their feet would get to that spot quicker? If so, then wouldn’t everyone just run without diving and catch the ball in the air when their feet get to that spot?

At least the bullpen kept it close enough to make them use their set up man and closer.

Let's give em a finish boys.

Wonder why no sprinters alive dive across the finish line

The surface of the track...unless they were wearing light body armor, lol.

Well no, because If they ran through the ball they wouldn't be able to get their glove in position. You dive to get your glove as extended as possible to reach the baseball. If you ran through you would be split second faster but no chance to reach the baseball

If he had 1 more Yerminator Burger thats a HBP

Hey don't show the credits...that's bad luck.

Would have gone out in a day game...

Vaughn’s made some good contact today with nothing to show for it

when is the last time we have had a come from behind win late?

Bernstein was making a point yesterday about how the Sox really need to make sure they’re not getting out homered at GRF when it gets hot out. Sounds simple enough but they’re not really set up to hit a ton of bombs.

He's going to have a monster 2nd half of the season I think

Yikes. I thought this would be a series where we could fatten our record before the tough teams come.

If you don't hit a lot of homers it is hard to do. Late bullpen arms are usually too good to string a bunch of hits on.

Let’s be honest, it was ridiculous they even won last night with 5 of their main guys out.  This was a terribly constructed lineup once again tonight and continuing to wait for the great Adam Engel to fix everything seems foolish.

2 Bad losses at home need to salvage a split

Hopefully Tony bats Leury cleanup tomorrow, hes earned it

And the old axiom comes back into play: "when you're going good you're not as good as you think and when you're going bad you're not as bad as you think."

Is there anyone we can call up to try to breathe some life into this offense?  Isn't Rutherford hitting alright?  Anyone else?
