Nothing like a good old fashioned cat fight.

ugh, I hope that doesn't become routine again.

I am glad that we finally see Kopech pitching 2 dominating innings in relief.  It is also a relief not having to see Marshall, Ruiz, Foster, Bummer blow another late lead.

We're gonna need these guys to produce if we wanna see the Sox do damage in the postseason. Either that or replace them.

Makes the Sox look trashy.  Don't like it and hope the team finds the fighters and bans them.

Gotcha.  It's just always sadly funny to me just how much soxtalk leans negative.  Wayy more activity when they're losing.  Alotta posters prefer being right about how bad they think the players, etc. are than the team actually winning.  I don't get it.  For me at least, I prefer sports being a fun escape than something that brings my mood down.  As I've gotten older, I've gotten a lot better at just turning the TV off and forgetting about it when things go awry.  I enjoy being invested in the team, but at the same time, it's not life or death.

Correct.

That is placing sports into a proper perspective in life.  Some are not capable of doing that for whatever reason.

Also correct.

While this is all true and I agree with all of it, whenever I want to respond to the people here I try to remember where I'm posting. This is a message board and is not filled with average fans, in general. To post as often as some of them do, they are the over the top fans and I need to take that into account.

I can't tell you how many times I've had this discussion on this site over the past almost 2 decades and invariably the response is that I don't care about winning.

Who said our outfielder has a lack of punch

Sorry but I'd like to give myself a gold star for banging on drum for them to trade for Lance Lynn for almost a year now. Not missing Dane Dunning sorry.

Agree 100% with jerksticks post.

that 2003 bleachers era was ridiculous, and seemed to feed on itself. That there were fights in the bleachers lent itself to people going to fight in the bleachers. I don't want to go back there.

It has no place at the park then or now imo.  You want to get drunk and start fights step outside a bar.

Vaughn's HR was a thing of beauty.  He is getting better and better as a hitter, and he'll be a mainstay in a powerful Sox lineup for years.

Lynn's performance was great, even though he struggled with command a bit here and there.  The guy is a work horse, and his fastball-heavy arsenal works well especially when he locates the sinker and cutter.

Kopech continues to impress.  He was pure filth last night and has been all season.  It's fun to watch him pitch.

Good overall team win last night.

Not arguing about Kopech, but there were a couple solid hits off him.  He can't just throw his 4 seamer down the middle.  His stuff is dazzling, as you say.

I actually heard that the young woman in the black shirt opined that Joe West is a worse umpire than Angel Hernandez and the other young ladies took exception to that opinion.

The fight is justifiable if that's the case.

I hope you'll be proudly sporting your Palehose colors over there today.  Who knew a bleacher fight would be international news?

Lmao. The lady's facial expression in the top left is fucking priceless.

No Cardinal fan involvement. Not surprised an Illini fan was involved.
