June 4, 20214 yr Visiting in Vegas, signs say to wear masks if you are not fully vaccinated, but it’s all voluntary compliance. It appeared 80-90% of people did not wear masks in casinos, when it was likely people were vaccinated at similar rates to the national average (halfish). Imagine a similar policy here. Everyone has a vaccination available at this point (United Center vaccination site has few if any people attending the times I’ve passed it recently), don’t see large scale vaccine checkpoints and forced validation on a wide scale basis, including checking 40,000 people at the entrances. You’ll likely get a short uptick in cases based on exposure from non vaccinated and a few vaccinated people contracting, but hopefully within a range to not cause an uptick in hospitalization or sickness. The unknown factors at this point are overall natural immunity rates based on prior exposure, and the length of effectiveness in current vaccinations against known and mutating strands. Bottom line is this will be with us for years, hopefully we can live with it and not incur the massive fatalities experienced the first year.

I'm struggling to understand why they can't figure something out for the season ticket holders so they can get more tickets available.

Makes sense for all key persons in White Sox operations to fully digest what they are required to do, which based on the tweets were not even spelled out by the city and state until sometime today. The Sox don’t even need over 24k seats for early weekday games at this point. 20k-21k for Memorial Day weekend games were the high point in terms of paid attendance with 60% capacity. 12K attended yesterday.
June 5, 20214 yr Cubs just released tickets for 100% capacity, including all three White Sox games for folks interested. https://www.mlb.com/cubs/tickets/single-game-tickets?affiliateId=tdl-Chicago_Cubs-tickets-Chicago_Cubs:_Tickets:_Chicago_Cubs_Tickets-na-x0-Desktop-Portrait
June 5, 20214 yr https://www.espn.com/mlb/attendance 11,078 average after today, good for 14th...Cubs at 12,924 over one more game in comparison.

A shitload of the "available" seats beyond 60% would be single seats between sold groups. Who is buying a single seat?
June 9, 20214 yr From the White Sox ticket website - Following approvals from the State of Illinois and City of Chicago and in accordance with Phase 5 planning, the Chicago White Sox will fully open with 100 percent capacity at Guaranteed Rate Field beginning Friday, June 25. Single game tickets to the remainder of White Sox home games at Guaranteed Rate Field go on sale to the general public at noon on Tuesday, June 15.

Not to mention a season ticketholder moved to another section isn't going to be happy when their seats are now available for sale. Plus it is only 3 weekday games.
June 10, 20214 yr Looking forward to getting to a game. Between the family and some friends, we'll have a decent sized group, and with limited capacity it was hard to find enough seats even close to each other. Watching the games on TV, the crowds have seemed electric. It'll be nice to experience that in person.

The Sox already handled this homestand by the time the city/state gave the okay on 100% capacity.

Electric is a good and accurate adjective for the crowd excitement when I went.

Can't wait til that baby is packed with 30k+.
June 15, 20214 yr The rest of the single game tickets went on sale today. I just picked up some lower box tix for one of the games against the Yankees in August, first game back in 6 seasons!
June 15, 20214 yr Got my tickets to the 7/18 game against Houston. So excited to get back to the park.
