This lineup is so fucking bad, just brutally awful day from the defense and pitching

We scored 11 runs. You can't blame the lineup today, even if Seby drove in half of those runs.

  • I honestly hope La Russa runs Tepera back out there if the Sox have a lead. Get the guy's confidence back and show that little blip last night is in the rear view.

I would be all for it if Abreu was hit on purpose.  But that was not the case. Dick measuring contests sometimes make sense. Not here. The AL Central has surrendered, perhaps for several years. Just k

Poor outfield positioning. They should be on the other side of the fence.

Waste him from what exactly?

Hello exactly. You pitch your best pitchers when the game is meaningful, tie games or up down by 1. High leverage situations.

Tony's cares more about personal stats (wins and saves) than managing to high vs. low leverage situations. Perhaps that's one of the reason the Sox are among the worst teams with 20 blown saves and a 10-14 record in 1 run games. Tony rather use his worst relievers when the team is losing, regardless if they are down 1, 2 or 8, or use his best pitchers in low leverage situations like the 4-0 game against Houston with a DH the following day.

Nope, just choking as usual

Lol whatd that man do to you

Ah fuck it, let's get em tomorrow and take 2/3

Too bad Gavin couldn't elevate and tie the game at 12. Oh well, Sox aren't playing particularly good baseball of late. I realize team still is banged up. Classifies as bad loss cause the starter was handed a nice lead.

I miss Bailey Horn and I have no clue who he is.

goodwin dropping the ball... cant have major league outfielders dropping the ball that hits the center of their glove.

that was the game.

Big L for Kopech,Keuchel,Sheets and Vaughn tonight. Brutal performances.

Theyre talking about Kimbrel...who was used in a 1 run game

Also I find it oddly fitting that Jose Ramirez drove in the winning run today despite not doing much of anything for his first 3 at bats.

This team ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Some of the worst baseball I've seen played in a long time.

We've played 10 games against subpar teams since the ASB and we are 4-6 in those games.

And of course, just as the bats start heating up, it's time for the pitching staff and the defense to take a massive shit on the effort.

We are finding ways to look as incompetent as remotely possible in a division that is basically being handed to us on a goddamn silver platter.

Who would you have pitched then?

that was the game.

His throw home on the play before was as mediocre as you will see from a right fielder

Just a terrible lost.

And it was so close to being a memorable win.

The worst hitter on our team 40 man roster hit 3 homers and we still lose, what a terrible all around performance.

do people really think that game was fun?

never felt that way about it... maybe if was close the entire time.

but not after blowing a 6-1 lead.

Kuechel needs to stop serving up homers.

Middle relievers need to stop sucking

But just win the fucking game tomorrow and I'll get over this one

Ok yeah. No excuse to give up 12 runs to this lineup. Reyes and Ramirez only got 3 hits. It was the bottom 4 in their order that really hurt us. They combined to drive in half their runs and nobody had an OPS above .700 entering today. Hell, their bottom 3 didn't have an OPS above .500 and they drove in 5.

They like their RF options tho. Engel should be there full time when Robert comes back

Because he has never had the arm to play that position…Vaughn should be there, if Eloy was actually not injured yet again.

I couldn’t believe the ABs they had against Kopech. Just bad all over those middle innings from the Sox

Flush it and win tmr.
