Lynch might break the Virginia curse.  He has a chance to be very very good.

Because the final lineup stands a good chance of being Vaughn in RF, Eloy in LF, and Sheets or something like that at DH, with Robert in CF between them, and to get there Vaughn will need RF reps in g

  • I would not count on Eloy for full time anything.

  • I hope TLR doesn't allow Keuchel to face this lineup a third time through, if it comes to that.

Contract Notes:

  •  2024 Vesting Option vests with 320 IP across 2021-2022, including 160 IP in 2022

This is as bad as watching Jim Parque start every 5th day.

What's strange is that Moncada looks athletic playing the field. But then you watch him hit and the bat speed is gone and it's as if his legs are in quick sand

Well, the idiot Royals' announcers on radio just said the Field of Games was in Dyersville, INDIANA.

I mean, it's not like KC is THAT far from the Iowa border.

Especially from the right side, he has no explosiveness in his swing.  I know what WAR says, but he has to get better.

Well, fortunately, Mike Cameron no longer plays MLB...just his son.

Royals if they won tonight would have a winning record at GRF of 5-4 and tied 8-8 on the season series...don't we have one of the top home winning percentages in baseball, along with the Giants?

Not that we should expect to lose after the way we destroyed Lynch earlier in the season, but seems he's found a more comfortable range of 93-96 mph rather than trying to throw everything at max velocity.

Jimenez, fwiw, now 2/20 with that one key homer against KC.

First perfect inning of the game for Dallas.  He gives you a couple like that somewhere in the game and you start to squint and imagine if just might be serviceable despite that contract then implodes again.

That applies to pretty much the entire core right now, agreed. Vaughn and Lynn are the only guys producing as you'd expect them to right now.

Ironically it’s actually Dyer.

Embarassing

I can't wait until this team is healthy enough so we don't see Leury playing every day

Leury whiffing on a slider right down the middle.

That was abysmal by Leury

Come on ump, you didn't give that to Keuchel all game now you give him that after he missed his spot?

So many black holes in the lineup right now

Getting dominated by a 7 ERA pitcher

That will be nice, but the rest of the team needs to start hitting the baseball.

Well, we're really good at lower opposing ERA's recently.

Hernandez was in the 6's and Lynch started over 7, now at 6.57, yikes.

Can't wait to see these guys get lit up by another team next week.

Yoan, Eloy and Leury for sure. You can’t expect much from Seby either.
