What a masterful performance by Lynch. You just got to tip your cap. Ignore the fact that his era coming in was over 7 though.

Because the final lineup stands a good chance of being Vaughn in RF, Eloy in LF, and Sheets or something like that at DH, with Robert in CF between them, and to get there Vaughn will need RF reps in g

  • I would not count on Eloy for full time anything.

  • I hope TLR doesn't allow Keuchel to face this lineup a third time through, if it comes to that.

Was there ever any doubt how this inning would end?

Most exciting thing this game was a long foul ball.  Lynch with way too many Ks

He didn't come through at the plate, there, but at least he also led to the 2 runs for KC!

Robert is 2-3 with a HR, SB, and BB tonight. He's been playing CF consistently. I understand being cautious, but how isn't he ready to be called up?

Engel had 4 fastballs to hit that at bat.  He tried to do way too much

Oh fun, 4 pitch walk to someone who can’t hit

Not even close to probably their worst hitter.

3rd time through the order? You should have Lopez warming.

We are winning the division so no need to bring him back til May. Wait....what...?

Then the 4 pitch leadoff walk to the #8 hitter.

Of course, we follow up an inning like that with the dreaded leadoff walk.

How do we advance this runner to 2nd?   Steal?  WP?  PB?   Defensive indifference?

Jared Kelenic would be our best hitter at this rate...

I'm sure Keuchel facing Merrifield and Santana for a 3rd time will go great.

High ERAs are overrated apparently

He should have started the inning.

I'm not sure what he was doing swinging at the 3-1 pitch. That wasn't even that close to the zone.

People here sleeping on Lynch. Kid is pretty good. Even has the minor league track record to back it up. But hey lets let his 25 professional innings to start be the indicator of the pitcher he is.

He looks way better today than he did when we first faced him.

1-6-3!  Nice turn.

The one thing Dallas is still good at: fielding his position.

Hopefully the Sox get this crappy play out of their system here in August and then get everybody back and playing well come September. They have a big division lead and frankly they look like they are just going through the dog days of August.

That's not very fair...it's not like the guy was having trouble finding the strike zone....oh wait.

I’m seeing a lot fewer wins from Detroit and KC in the future

Sorry, as much as I dislike him and the contract, this should be 5 innings of shutout, 1 hit baseball from DK. Adam Engel should have an ERA of 3.60 right now.

nice frame by Seby

Ump finally gave Dallas a low strike.
