Fine, nothing special. Not throwing a lot of change ups. Slider has good break.

It's crazy how he's gone from throwing 1/3 change ups to maybe 1/5 change ups.

He is stunting AV growth.  He comes up to bat in the playoffs he needs the experience of what pitchers like to do to get him out.  Sitting 5 our of 7 days just so Leury can get AB's is asinine and stu

Cesar Hernandez is way way way better than Leury Garcia. Whatever idiot said they're pretty similar should ban himself.

That would be fine if that is what Tony was doing across the roster. Yoan, with an injured shoulder, hasn’t had an inning off since July 9th. Tim hasn’t had a non DH day off since late May.

That Sox Math winner reveal was the best moment in the history of Sox Math.

Sox have brought back the 3 run homer weapon that we had been missing.  Team looks awesome now with Eloy, Cesar and Robert. I would venture Sox are now in very top tier in MLB.  We can now compete well with West Coast teams, Astros, Brewers, Rays, Yankees.  Fear no one!

In the thread Jack was posting in, I made the comment people just don’t understand what it means to add guys like Eloy/Robert/Grandal back to this lineup, which means you take out guys like Burger/Leury/Hamilton/Zavala, etc.

Not saying it’s going to last…they’ll still go cold at some point…but come on.

Jack and a few others didn’t see this, but most did anticipate a vast improvement, both in ability and just the overall demeanor of the team, with or without shaking off some rust and regaining timing.

Hope you are right one day/year on the player in bold.

I just checked the standings and god damn the Padres might miss the plyoffs

Not sure how I remembered but they actually gave Ed Hermann's number away to Cesar. Pis me off.

I miss last year Abreu. He’d prolly be over 100 rbis at this point.

Cincy would probably be even closer if they had any semblance of a stable closer.

2020 Abreu would have 30+ homers by now.

I’m sure we would get twenty paragraphs about how they should have made it

Did he really throw 3 change ups in a row and expect Kepler not to hit it hard?

lol goodwin

Didn’t that ball look 425 ft off the bat

Lucas actually throwing that curveball for a strike in the zone?

Don’t forget about Cesar Hernández.  He has been a major upgrade.

Not crazy if it's obvious they're sitting on your changeup.  And it was.

Perfect fastball there by Gio at 96

Right. We need to stay within ourselves. Take it one game at a time.

This is not Wrigley or GRF....

That ball is nowhere near gone in Wrigley if it gets into that deep corner. I think RF at Target Field is actually shorter than GRF, it's just very tall.
