If any of you really think the Indians are catching this team...please stop posting. Your negativity is poison and we dont want you here. Sox are winning this division by at least 8 games.

Seriously, is Keuchel's contract over after this year, or does he still have another expensive year left with the Sox?

More than one, possibly…

There's no way they let that vest.

Jose way to go.

Of course, Robert didn’t move the runner.  He’s been great so far, but not a situational hitter…at least yet.

He has two more years if he pitches 160 innings this and next season. The Sox will need to acquire an external starter to replace him next year.

Jose Abreu knocks home Tim, 6-1. Keep the line moving!

This is cubs/sox. You just know sox are gonna come back.

Chipping away. Gonna need to score 12 tonight, boys.

  •  2024 Vesting Option vests with 320 IP across 2021-2022, including 160 IP in 2022

He has 137 after the first inning tonight.  And they’re not going to pull him out of the starting rotation next year at that salary, so it’s a double hit to the rotation and from a payroll standpoint.

Signed through 2022 with a 2023 team option unfortunately...

Avoid Eloy makes sense.

Pitching coach out. I like this

if he's pitching like this, they DFA him to keep it from vesting.

Even I am not worried that they do

I still say we got those Chicago Cubs right where we want 'em.

OK Yoan, lefty vs a not great pitcher, this is your time.

But another club picks him up at the minimum. My question is if he reaches 160 IP next year, is the team that claims him responsible for 2023, since he reached 160 innings on the team that claimed him, or are the White Sox, since they DFA'd him and are responsible for the remainder of his contract when he is DFAd?

Edited by South Side Hit Men

When’s the last time the White Sox ate more than $10 million remaining in salary…?

I’m extreme anti-booing because the players are humans trying their best, but I’m fine with Dallas getting showered. He’s had no problem whining about others in postgame pressers this season. #karma

Will La Russa give Keuchel a post season start?
