Imagine being a manager and knowing you have 5 fresh relievers and 1 who hasn't been successful on back to back and pitched yesterday and say to yourself, let's go get the former in the biggest moment

We can still win this series. We just have to score more runs than Houston and you can take that to the bank

  • Let’s GO! Lots of pressure on Houston. They need to win one of the next three if they want to force a game 5.

Yoan gets airlifted off the field in regular season if that happens

The funny thing is only Jose Abreu played more games for the Sox this season.

Showalter is actually right there. He goes to first first, they got a DP.

Easier said than done. They got the lead runner.

really feels like their lineup is just better than ours.

Yes

Buck spot on there. Leury...

You don’t think of that when you’re focused on knocking down the ball.  Hard to blame him

You’re ruining the narrative

The guy has missed 50 games in 5 years. This he's soft thing is such meathead bullshit

Of course. If we had a true 2B manned there, it probably would have happened.

I agree with him, but it is hard to check the runner while also fielding a ball. And if he checks the runner after fielding it, it probably wouldn't matter.

Agreed but there’s been times where he looked like he was dead and ended up fine

Lucas completely lost his command

Cmon gio

K this fuck Lucas!

They won’t spend money on an ace so you’re probably trading someone like Vaughn of Madrigal in a deal. Oh wait…

Yeah you're probably correct.  But they should be in on the bidding for an ace.  My bet is that Scherzer goes to the Red Sox or Dodgers.  After that we'll see.  Our best shot is probably Rodon. Maybe this is all dead arm / come back season and then in 2022 he'll finallybe the guy we all thought we were getting when he was drafted.  But that's probably our best shot.  And even still I'm already bracing for the KW "can't spend a dollar when you only have 50 cents" comment in regards to Rodon.

fouling off so many fucking pitches.

A double play would sure be swell

I am OK with him taking the out at second.  Everything in your programming tells you when the runner is behind you to go to the base and take out the lead runner.

Not good

Settle down Gio

Great take by Correa there

Astros hitters adapting

how the fuck did he lay off that.

Gio lost his concentration thinking about Gurriel.

Fuck…can’t afford to walk two guys in an inning Lucas
