Imagine being a manager and knowing you have 5 fresh relievers and 1 who hasn't been successful on back to back and pitched yesterday and say to yourself, let's go get the former in the biggest moment

We can still win this series. We just have to score more runs than Houston and you can take that to the bank

  • Let’s GO! Lots of pressure on Houston. They need to win one of the next three if they want to force a game 5.

God forbid the outfielders ever make an accurate throw

Well when you have someone in the outfield that shouldn't be out there but is only there because he wants to be...that's what you get.

OTOH, Engel saved Gio's ass, and Gio is lucky both those baseballs didn't leave the park.

Ok out of the inning now it's time to fuck these Asstros straight up the butthole.  Are you ready Sox?  I am!  Let's go!

Not even worried, Gio will settle down.

Nice running catch. Time to wake up and play ball. Quit playing scared crap ball on the road. Thank u!

!

This team is the opposite of 2005, they do all the little things WRONG.

Far from the worst thing about that play but Grandal not being able to catch a ball is chef's kiss.

very little ego on that team outside of maybe AJ and Oz

Throw to 3B you idiot

While people yell at Grandal trying to make the dumb play Eloy forced, you're the only one who has posted the correct thing.

Our outfield decisions on throws are absolutely atrocious. Little league like. He had no chance of getting the runner. The throw should have gone to 3rd base 100 out of 100 times. At least hit cut and cut down the runner at third. Just atrocious defense so far this series.

Thanks...

This is why HFA is so important

Nice play by Engel though that's not made if he's not in there today.

His bat has been great but really he's just a 1B/DH/backup C.  Hopefully the Sox finally realize this over the offseason.

Unfortunately the Sox have a half dozen of those.

We need to turn around and get at least one right here.  Can’t relay on the bottom 3rd of the lineup and need to take advantage of when he we have Anderson leading off an inning.

Very true, and I think a lot of people on here deep down have way lesser expectations this postseason than 2005

Lucas kind of lost his command that inning after Yoan slipped.

That was a medium depth fly ball. Most outfielders make it a close play

TA beats it out.

Next season Kopech and Crochet will be starting the playoffs.

Team got the shits

Fully agree

Is Tim just slower than usual or what? Thought that wasnt even going to be close

Not gonna get him again. Correa is insane on defense. I really hope the Tigers don't get him next year.

Holy shit this Astros infield defense is unreal. That play should not have been that close.

Right.  Reminds me of 2003.
