Yeah but now they have to save face and get something to show it wasn't a complete loss.

Ofcourse, if the plan is to just keep the savings and not spend it, id rather keep Kimbrel here even if he sucks, just to spite ownership and the FO. 

I honestly cannot believe they are going to go into the season with the 1B clown show and Man of Glass in RF. I just am struggling to believe this is the plan. Even Joc would have been much better than this plan. 

I just have to assume that if they aren't going to meet Confortos demands, then a short term trade option is the plan, possibly with the prospects from the Kimbrel trade.

Yep I got excited that it was NBC Sportschannel at first. ?

Also, it turns out Brad Miller got a two year deal.  Will be interesting to see what the AAV ends up being.
