The board is like a contest between Caufield and Jack to see who can be the biggest shit poster.

This board has become full on insufferable. The White Sox not having a window beyond 2023 is 1 of the dumber things typed on the internet today

Mike Schmidt came up at same age as Vaughn, same number of at bats, lower first season OPS and he couldn't hit righties at all.   The Phillies were not stupid enough to trade him for some 30 year old

I have a bad feeling the Sox trade Vaughn for Montas. No inside info, just a feeling.

If you trade Vaughn I would rather it be for Luis Castillo over Montas

That blows Manaea! Why the fuck do the Padres need another starter

Padres have excess pitching and catching now...doesn’t seem though Sox have anything they’d want besides Vaughn.

Vince V and Lopez as 4 and 5 for the year. We in trouble.

I retrospect waiting until the last week for this may have been a bad decision

The padres have huge starting depth. Really impressive maybe they dangle one at trade deadline.

And Kopech on an innings limit.

They got a whole lot of nothing for him. White Sox could have beat that offer if they wanted to.

I would say counting on Dallas Keuchel/Vince Velasquez/Reynaldo Lopez as your "depth" is the worse mistake, but we're splitting hairs at this point.

I’m gonna guess they end up with meadows and rays get one of em.

Caulfield must be so happy right now.

Sox are gonna sign Cole Hamels and Chuck is gonna throw an emergency parade podcast

I am thinking Oakland thinks less of White Sox prospects than even the people who rank them near the bottom. Bassitt or this one withe the prospect capital going back is a no brainer.

So it's either that or the Sox are tapped out budget wise.

AJ Preller was smart enough to course correct after watching Arrieta and Velasquez get lit up last August and September.

That's it.  You can never have too much starting pitching.

And now they have the leverage to dump Hosmer when/if they need to, and still don't touch their Top 5-6 prospects.

Maybe a good sign on the Lynn issue

I was told last week the Sox system is very underrated because of all the "really young guys" the Sox have in the system ?

This is a good observation. It seems the Sox could have gotten something done easily in this so maybe it is about the money. I am deeply concerned about the rotation.

It bothered him last season, he did some rehab and rest an entire offseaon, and it's already back. If it isn't anything that requires surgery, there is no reason to think this isn't going to be an issue all seaon.
