It seems like he's throwing his sinker a lot more than he did before.

Can't believe they're pitching Velazquez for the home opener. At least Keuchel is a name.

Eloy gets such a big pass for wildly underachieving expectations that other guys on the team don't receive

The less Grandal catches the better.

It’s embarrassing that for a team that’s all in, this is the home opening day lineup we’re seeing.  Oh well, Hahn even said the first two months aren’t that important.

Johnny Cueto needs to get ready quick.

God he sucks. Fastball is just meat.

65% of pitches have been fastballs/sinkers. Brutal pitch selection so far.

Looks like he's going to the Lance Lynn school of pitching

Guy has no business being home opener starter

Apparently his fastball and sinker are his best pitches. They're trying to turn him into Lance Lynn.

That was right into Suarez bat path.

Not having the field mic in the broadcast is so weird

4.50 ERA is better than expected :)

5 innings 3 runs is all we can hope for from him. Need offense to get it going.

VV allows 1 run in 2 innings. If he allows another run in the next 2 innings I'll take it.

This whole broadcast is odd

Except Lance Lynn is good

Hopefully he can keep that pitch count down to save a pitcher or two today.

The sinker was his best pitch last year, but he barely threw it last year (4.2%)

just swing at everything, good strategy today

No idea Brash was canadian. Soft.

Eloy should just go yard. That'd be cool.

Stop swinging at balls guys. Go up and take pitches.

Man he pitches fast too

This guy is nasty. Sox hitters have no chance.

Brash is McCullersing us

Eloy stop hitting everything on the ground back up the middle challenge

The Sox are really going to need another quality starter if they expect to make a serious run this year. How they go about doing that is up for debate but the fact they need to do it shouldn't be at all.
