Yes, very slow

I feel like this question comes up a lot because he's on base a lot

per baseball savant his sprint speed is only faster than mendick, reece, jose and yasmani

This still happens to much . Should have had at least one run there!

Yep .500 teams are that way because of the mistakes we consistently make. You won't go on extended runs playing like that.

My god how did they not score that inning

Because they still are the sox.

Funny thing is his stance seems more open than ever tonight

I don’t understand the Mendick out.  Did Tony have him running on contact in that situation?  He obviously could have turned around and got back to third.

10 outs, 7 by K. Not too bad, so far.

Ten outs, 7 k’s.

Would prefer he still had the bullets in the gun for the 6th and 7th.

It's remarkable Abreu has still been as productive as normal (133 wRC+ vs 132 for his career) despite the fact he's had this many flyballs die on the warning track.

Is Vaughn that slow? Seems like he had time to round 3rd and have a legit shot at scoring. No camera angle tho, perhaps he didn’t pick up the ball

Did he slide at 2nd?

He thought they would go to 2nd tough read honestly.

Cease falling behind now.

Sprint speed is pretty much useless.  All it tells you is his top speed but it doesn't tell you how long it took him to get to that speed or how long he was able to maintain that speed.  Like a lot of these new metrics it seems cool but it really doesn't tell you anything.

Fair point.

Zavala has a cannon damn

Jays running into dumb outs too

That being said, he's still really slow :D

Nice throw!!!

Clear strike there... Bring on the robots.

Thanks Bo. That caught stealing was huge

Bichette helping the sox out, not sure why he is stealing third with their best hitter at the plate.

2 straight walks.  Settle down Dylan
