He continues to say it, since the loss column is less than the number of games back they are overall.

No, it's a player opt out ($5M and 2023 FA or $10M Player Option). The White Sox have no say.

In addition, the Sox will have to pay more if he continues to play regularly

So it will likely be at least $11 million or possibly $12 million...

Love the Angels' graphics.  Josh Harrison 9th in NL MVP vote.  Caveat, it was only eight years ago.  All-Star as recent as five years ago.  Then fell off a cliff.

  • This manager sets the tone and it sucks. I saw so much sloppiness from this team. They do little things wrong and it has been put up with far too long under this regime.    Kopech flubs a ball

Obligatory ‘Fire Tony La Russa’ post for good luck.

  • I swear LaRussa makes more than 1 bad decision every single game.  The old adage that a bad manager will cost you no more than 3 losses is just plain wrong with this guy.  He really was the worst poss

game threads don't even talk about the games anymore. sign of a dead, boring team.

They should trade him no matter what in the next month then, even though I doubt teams would take that contract on.

The Dodgers might take him back if you threw in Liam

It has continued in this series as well particularly game 1

Complete retooling of this roster has to happen this offseason. No more DH/1B playing in the outfield, especially with some of the guys expected to be elite hitters not performing to their expectations.

Deal, don’t even need anything back.

Gotta get Kimbrel back in that case to pitch 8th innings....might as well go for a better draft pick.

My bad on how I interpreted that contract

--

I have a tough time seeing this organization admitting defeat if they have any sort of chance. I could very well see a scenario where we go into next year with Hahn gone and TLR still here.

Kopech FB still explosive up in the zone at 93-95.

Question for those more aware of Pollock's career.  Is he a streaky hitter like Grandal because he looked good earlier this month?  Or is he probably just close to done?

I think I would take that tradeoff if if if they brought in an outside GM and dumped McEwing Boston Menechino and one of Narron/Cairo.

Hes generally been streaky

about that

Pollock makes El Caballo look like a consistent, non-streaky hitter...

Let's hope he has a hot streak in him coming soon.

Indeed

  • 7th Inning Setup Bennett Sousa - Cause Tony's gotta Tony
  • 8th Inning Setup Craig "My Best Idea aka Triple Down On" Kimbrel
  • 9th Inning Closer Joe Kelly

Or pull a curveball way off the plate to the SS

Look out Royals...here we come.

Might as well bring Dallas back since we are paying him anyways.

Ohtani gonna get another inning now.  It amazes me how often this team hits high four seamers into the ground.

another pathetic offensive showing.

Frank Menechino nods sagely on the bench, and thinks to himself "Perfect. Nary a popup in sight."

Dallas had 7 strikeouts in 4 1/3 during his Arizona debut last Sunday. Would have gotten the win (Arizona scored 11) with two more outs, but he was Keucheling. He's reunited with his OG pitching coach, perhaps he can turn it around or find better non detectible sticky stuff.
