  • This manager sets the tone and it sucks. I saw so much sloppiness from this team. They do little things wrong and it has been put up with far too long under this regime.    Kopech flubs a ball

Obligatory ‘Fire Tony La Russa’ post for good luck.

  • I swear LaRussa makes more than 1 bad decision every single game.  The old adage that a bad manager will cost you no more than 3 losses is just plain wrong with this guy.  He really was the worst poss

Jesus catch the ball

Another player who just doesn’t have his legs. That’s the slogan of ‘22

They're in a really tough spot. If they IL him they might not be able to stretch him out for a full season next year.

Another fucking error. Such a low throw when you know a pitcher is coming over.

Except he probably wasn't using his best stuff then...just getting work in to prepare for the season.

Oh there it is, the old he was working on stuff excuse.  How come noone ever gave Keuchel that kind of leeway?

So tired of Stone’s excuses every error

It is just amazing how bad this team is at catching throws.

They’re going to have to limit his innings a bit the rest of the year.  Probably should have given him a few weeks after the knee injury.

Never seen a team this bad overall as a group.

Defense has had at least 5 bad plays in 19 innings.

Most aren't errors so they hide in the box score. It just makes it look like they don't care.

We could be 7 games back by the end of tonight.

Idk if they can afford to not pitch him in the upcoming stretch against Cleveland and Minnesota.

Kopech is a completely different pitcher since the injury.

Yep, Pollock is a prime example

How long do we keep babying Kopech? Guy's been a major leaguer since like 2018 or 2019 or some shit and he's still struggling consistently with mechanics and his velocity? Make him a fucking reliever then. Stupid ass franchise

Kopech has given up 9 runs in 12 innings with only 8 Ks and 6 BBs since his knee injury.

Another wonderful decision by the training staff.  You could tell by his comments that he didn’t feel great after the injury and his appearance after it.

probably for a while due to him missing a year and this being his first year as a major league starter

Yep. He’s definitely been a major leaguer since 2018 or 2019. Has hardly missed any time since he came up.

He doesn’t need the gigantic zone he’s getting

His fastball velocity is down 1 MPH since the injury.

He has literally been a major leaguer since 2018

He has pitched 7 less innings this year than all of last and he's already down to 93-94? That's really good!

Not surprising.  If he's going to play I wish it was lower in the lineup.

The problem is that everyone in the lineup tonight hitting lower than Sheets is just as bad or worse.

Sox hitters have zero chance

Kopech was the Sox best starting pitcher up until his injury and it wasn't close. He dominated the Dodgers and Yankees.

Kopech sucks is even more ludicrous than all of the Moncada sucks stuff from last year.
