Vaughn looked terrible last night and has played twenty straight, I believe. I'm totally fine with him getting today off.

Is Kopech having trouble repeating his mechanics? Sometimes he's 93-94 and other starts he's in the high 90s.

93-94 and everything floating up in the zone. Sigh...

We needed to be in the comfortable position that Kopech could be rested down the stretch and eased into the starting role. As we are obviously not in that position it’s pretty obvious that leaning on him too much in his first year as a starter was going to lead to issues.

Kopech has been weird with his velocity all season. It's been all over the place from start to start.
