He has literally been a major leaguer since 2018

He has pitched 7 less innings this year than all of last and he's already down to 93-94? That's really good!

He's pitched 148 innings in 5 seasons and only pitched in 3 of those seasons, but you're trolling, so whatever

  • This manager sets the tone and it sucks. I saw so much sloppiness from this team. They do little things wrong and it has been put up with far too long under this regime.    Kopech flubs a ball

Obligatory ‘Fire Tony La Russa’ post for good luck.

  • I swear LaRussa makes more than 1 bad decision every single game.  The old adage that a bad manager will cost you no more than 3 losses is just plain wrong with this guy.  He really was the worst poss

So tired of Stone’s excuses every error

He also mentioned visibility problem for the Sox hitters.  Trout did not have any visibility problems.

The problem is that everyone in the lineup tonight hitting lower than Sheets is just as bad or worse.

Yes that is true.  Doesn't matter either way.

Hopefully they can grind out a win some how tonight.  Garcia did work the count at least.

At least we've worked some counts tonight

He pitched 70 innings last year. He's at 63 this year. Shouldn't he be gaining strength as seasons pass, like maybe 100-120 IP this year, before his stuff dwindles?

Kopech was the Sox best starting pitcher up until his injury and it wasn't close. He dominated the Dodgers and Yankees.

Kopech sucks is even more ludicrous than all of the Moncada sucks stuff from last year.

Not one person said Kopech sucks

If Jack of all people thinks you're being obtuse about this, you probably are. His velocity has started dipping after his knee popped and you know as much

Naylor just walked off the Twins. Twins had a 3 run lead in extras and still lost.

Definitely!  Probably the best chance the sox have tonight. getting to the bullpen.  Obviously

The goal has to be to try and get Ohtani out within 5 or 6 and keeping the margin within 2 at this point

Up until now, I thought this team would make the playoffs. I just don't see it happening anymore.

He got injured, man. He was gaining strength until then. IIRC he injured his plant leg and it seems he's not able to drive off of it anymore. If he can't drive off of it after the ASB then it's a problem.

It's Happening!!!

Yoan’s eye is so awful compared to what it used to be.  It’s kind of amazing how much he’s lost his ability to walk.

He’s mentioned it might bug him all season

Only 3.5 and 5.5 GB, lol.  Has to be one of the most emotional celebrations of the entire season...just when you want to count the Guardians out after being 1 game up a week ago.

Even though Moncada has 2 ks he put together a couple good ABs. Those pitches he struck out on are insanely tough to lay off. Process is there, the results will come.

Nice to see a few Sox fans my first time in this stadium at least

Ohtani 52 pitches thru 3, so we got a chance to get him out of the game before the 7 th.

That’s not really what he said fwiw. He said he feels it and may for a bit. Never said it’s something he expects to feel rest of season, unless I missed it.

You’re trying to take the opposite viewpoint tonight than usual, aren’t you?

I believe he said for rest of the year, but am willing to be proven wrong

No, I've released myself from the burden of expectations.
