6/29 GT: Sox @ LAAAAAA (Kopech v. Ohtani) - let's go streaking at 8:38 PM CT

Featured Replies

I remember in Spring Training we knocked Ohtani out of the game and then they put him back in and we knocked him out of the game again.  He doesn't scare me.

  • This manager sets the tone and it sucks. I saw so much sloppiness from this team. They do little things wrong and it has been put up with far too long under this regime.    Kopech flubs a ball

Obligatory ‘Fire Tony La Russa’ post for good luck.

  • I swear LaRussa makes more than 1 bad decision every single game.  The old adage that a bad manager will cost you no more than 3 losses is just plain wrong with this guy.  He really was the worst poss

Except he probably wasn't using his best stuff then...just getting work in to prepare for the season.

Such a vital game to win tonight. Win and you take 2/3 in a place you typically struggle while establishing the potential for a much-needed winning road trip before returning for 19 straight against your division.

Lose and it's just another in a series of "one step forward, two back."

This would certainly be a nice game to win.  It would be great if the bats stay hot tonight against a good pitcher rather than last night being just a one off performance against mediocre pitching.

Don't be a buzzkill.  At least let us enjoy ourselves a little before the game actually starts.  ?

Assuming no costly errors / unearned runs, should be a low scoring game. Bullpens relatively rested, Kelly and Loup the only ones possibly facing restrictions among each team's top 3 relievers.

they're wearing those uniforms again

I like 'em ?‍♂️

TA7 just doing timmy things

Would imagine they'll just try to lay the heat on Yoan

Even with that strikeout, that at bat was a lot more like the Yoan from a few years ago

Agreed. That at bat was just fine. Nasty pitch on that count

Moncada struggles with splitters. I wouldn't have started him tonight.

Yep, battled and saw a decent amount of pitches. Didn’t look totally lost. I’ll take it as a trending upward sign, along with yesterday and the 5 hit game pre-IL stint.

That splitter is nasty

They are the ultimate boom or bust roster.  Such a weird mix of absolute superstars and dumpster fires.

Sox are Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.  The Beauty and the Beast.

I'll never understand why more pitchers with fringe change-ups don't start throwing splitters. To me, it's worth the arm risk. Do these guys want to stick in MLB or not?

Been pretty pleased with the at bats to be honest

Don't you need to have pretty big hands to be effective with it? Some smaller guys probably can't throw it effectively

I don't think Eloy will be back that soon (he's been dreadful in AAA), and I don't think he's taking LF from Pollock.

Wasn’t Eloy in the 60 day IL list?

Jeez Gavin

Sheets with a horrible at bat, my god

You might have nailed it.
