Far from an “albatross”. Not ideal if he can’t play more than a month a season but it’s not really not that bad.

It shouldn't be that tough for an athlete of TAs level to get away from a batted ball on the bases between 2nd and 3rd. I can't remember ever seeing a runner  hit by a batted ball between 2nd and 3rd.
