.192 and counting for Yoan.  Swing looks terrible.

  • Who will I see 1st this season....Carlos Perez or Miguel Cairo??

Joe Crede would have stepped on the bag and then teleported to first and to make it unassisted.

  • Looking forward to not watching tonight. Why bother? They will put a ton of runners on base and then not drive them home. The ninth will be three up, three down with the ball never leaving the infield

You got to RF with that pitch Yoan!

Like Hawk used to say it’s not what you hit it’s when you hit it…….worthless with bases loaded

Because he presses because he knows hes got no help

I doubt Mateo is in the O's longterm plans. He's not gonna be their starting SS when they're actually trying to win.

Some talk of them wanting Correa

We must have the worst production with the bases loaded on the season compared to oh… say… the entire history of this sport.

What happened to the pitcher being the one in trouble in those spots?  All these guys just freak the hell out.

It's like he wants to make up for all the times he failed in one at bat.  A hitter like Jose should know better than that.

Yoan missed a real hittable pitch there. He and Jose have fouled back 2 absolute meatball pitches to crush.

The lack of explosion in his swing is ridiculous.  He looks like he’s 40 years old at the plate.

At least Sheets is doing his job. STill nothing but singles but a 2 run lead is better than 1.

It was a line drive that had a chance to be caught on the fly so if Zavala's 1st move isn't back towards 2nd base he get's doubled off if it's caught. No way too many catchers score on that.

That pitch should have been in the stands. But this is the White Sox, and they don't hit home runs.

And like you said yesterday, his teammates look up to him so he’s setting an awful example

Are they gonna move Henderson to third?

Long inning. Let’s see if he turns into Javy Vazquez.

It's all in their heads at this point.

lol that's what Giolito starts have reminded me of recently. Even when he has starts where he's good, he'll usually have one really bad inning in there.

No doubt.  If he's pressing they're all pressing.

Small related story...I was at the Rangers game and during warm ups we saw Adolis Garcia go up to Jose, gave him the "I'm not worthy" bow, and then chatted with him, Luis and Yoan.

He is revered by all the Cuban players.

Almost the entire team is mentally broken. Speaks to the ineptitude of the organization. They're clueless. The problems are obvious to everyone, and it's been going on for over a year now... Guys keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again with no adjustments.

Fire Tony is going to fuck this up isn’t he?

It's all mental at this point. They'll hit fine until they get a guy to third and then all of a sudden they just forget what plate discipline and working the count is.

I thought they liked Mateo.

Moncada has left 6 guys on base tonight. He has simply become an awful hitter.

I don’t know how you go into next year with him on the team if the rumors about him are true and his play is this bad.

Yeah the struggles with guys on 3rd and less than 2 outs aren't new. It's been a theme since the ASB last year. Before the ASB they were very good at cashing those runs in. Afterwards, they got them in like 20% of the time.

Grandal and Robert killing the ball in the 2nd half hid a lot of those issues. But now that nobody in the lineup is really carrying the team, the struggles with guys on 3rd and less than 2 outs are becoming way more evident.
