Maybe the team can do like Ozzie in 2011 and quit before the seasons over.  You know they want to, just do it for the lols.

Now all those extra runs Diekman gave up hurt.

Grandal should have walked

Amazing decision playing Robert tonight

Hahn trades Pilkington for the woeful Hernandez.  Hernandez' replacement for the Guardians, Giminez, becomes an all star in his rookie year.  And Pilkington, while not great, contributes to the Guardians.

Hahn goes out and signs old free agents.

Hahn is just outclassed.

He swung at 2 balls in 3 ball counts. I'm not sure what happened to his eye and plate discipline.

Cease and Eloy are cool with me, as is Abreu once Vaughn is traded

A fully DH'd Eloy and Cease absolutely need to be kept.

This is probably the worse display by the Sox bullpen I can remember this season and they pick the pressure must win series to fold

ReyLo and Hendrik did well.  It was just poorly managed not maintaining the 3-1 lead.

He's so worried about his hand when swinging that he swings at pretty much everything. Not only is it bad for his overall health it's also bad for his development as a hitter.

  • Moncada $42.6M
  • Hendriks $29.3M
  • Grandal $18.3M
  • Graveman $16.0M
  • Pollock $13.0M (possibly $14M)
  • Leury $11.0M
  • Kelly $9.0M
  • Diekman $4.5M
  • Keuchel $1.5M

Anyone ever think that getting players from large market is not a good idea?

Cease absolutely needs to be moved this winter. He's a Boras guy and they're not winning anything before he hits FA.

It went where Yoan's left handed swing and plot lines of Yellowstone go.....noone knows.

Shaw is trash and had Diekman just allowed 2 runs we'd be in business.

It is amazing how many bad moves I just listed - let alone the money spent on Kelley / Graverman / Pollock into next year.

I will say - one scenario that would quickly remedy things would be Grandal bouncing back next year.

I keep hoping if they miss - they start over. Kenny retired and they do what Bulls did and bring in new people and change things.

Unless Grandal hits the juice again he isn't bouncing back.

Hahn should be fired.

Edit ignore. Confused poster.

Would be so fitting for Leury to end this game

Are we rebuilding again. I missed that.

The Chicago offense didn’t give up but the hole probably tok deep

So how many guys did Cairo let Diekman face?

Uh...why? Are you afraid his arm is gonna get destroyed with how many sliders he's throwing?

Blasted by Leury. Fire everyone

I know these jobs are in VERY high demand...but who worth a damn wants to inherit this mess? Sorry, this isn't just an overreaction to tonight, as listed above, the Sox have an insane amount of money tied into a collection of talent that simply can't compete in the worst division in baseball. The system is still in the bottom third of the league and the entire organization needs to be re-started, for an owner who likes to do things "his own way"

You still have Robert, Anderson, Moncada, Vaughn, Eloy. Maybe some don’t belong on that list plus Aubreu.

Rotation still has guys like Cease, Kopech, Gio (one bad year after a few real good ones).

And yes some of those contracts suck but every team has some bad. Grandal is probably worse - pollock not great but he is producing since Lasucka left and does have a good track record.

So there is plenty there - get creative and make something happen.
