However what should happen in theory vs what will happen in reality are two complete opposite ends of the situation. The problem has always been and still remains the fact, he is the most ignorant, demented and arrogant owner in baseball...who quite frankly doesn't have the baseball credentials to be so damn arrogant, uncaring and unapologetic. October 5, 20223 yr TLR was one really bad decision in a long string of really bad decisions that have led to this $190m fringe contender of a roster. As the owner, what he owes fans most is to hold his staff responsible for their failures and to stop treating the organization as some sort of dust bowl-era family farm business that you’re born into and can never be fired from. His baseball operations/player development/scouting corp, from top to bottom, is simply not a competitive group. It’s inexcusable that it hasn’t been overhauled/replaced at this point. It’s insane.

In fact, he threw out there, if he didn't think he was the right person for the job he would walk away, basically saying that's the only way he will ever leave. Any way you look at it, how could he possibly conclude he is the right person for the job.

There was a lot of drama this season that the Sox dominated a lot of local media attention. Who knows what will happen in a few season that obituaries get more attention.

Can’t do that if you’ve undermined their decision-making abilities every step of the way like hiring an incompetent manager and allowing that manager to make personnel decisions like roster construction.
