I just learned Victor Reyes is not Victor Robles.

  • I wonder if I could rescind my decision to cancel my season ticket package. Going to be a busy day in the Sox ticket office,

He'd be more valuable to our chances of winning a division if he resigned with the Tigers.

But I'm fine with adding MLB experienced depth to our system.

Anyone want to take my bet that he's the 4th outfielder on opening day?

Just a friendly who's right and who's wrong bet? I'll take that. Not good enough defensively to be a 4th OF but that might be your point.

I think it's more of an indictment of our recent attempts at filling right field. I'm really hoping this isn't our manager wanting a guy.

Oh I was indicting it since it was reported they were "negotiating" with him. He's a nothing OF, not fast, no power, no upside, doesn't get good jumps, shouldn't play CF at all. He does have a good arm. He's fine for playing all year in AAA but the minute he see's 26 time he's a liability.

Mets have moves, Hahn counters.  Back to you Mets.

Reyes and Clevinger basta.

If I only I had any confidence whatsoever in the White Sox finding a way to unlock potential in a post-hype player.

Serious question: have they ever actually managed to do that with any player?

Phil Humber until the perfect game?

Quentin

Ethan Katz with Carlos Rodon vs. Don Cooper with Carlos Rodon?

Clearly not grasping for straws here.

I knew this guy couldn't hit, but after checking Fangrahps I have learned that he can't defend either.  Oh Joy!

Gavin Floyd was kind of a basket-case with the Phillies. Productive for the Sox. (as an aside, Garcia for Floyd and Gio was perhaps Williams' best trade).  Also McCann

Also, Quentin as mentioned above, although after 3 years, the Sox just jettisoned him for a AAAA pitcher for some reason.

Can’t wait to see this bum play MLB games when Eloy inevitably injures himself again in LF and Luis spends time on DL.

Put some respect on former White Sox top prospect Simon Castro!

For real though, if anyone thinks the current farm is bad, the Nestor Molina / Simon Castro days were real bad.

Plus Colas plus Avila. Minus Abreu Pollock Engel and Harrison. If only we had Elvis in place of Leury. Wonder if Cueto has an offer. Slowly we move.

Reyes/Payton/Haseley competition for 4th OF’er? Sounds like everyone will be the loser

I guarantee they view Leury as the 4th outfielder

Mark Payton is a physical specimen. Evocative perhaps of Pee Wee Herman.

Gotta get the most use out of that asinine contract.

Heyward would have better filled that role and was basically free.

They got Quintana for a song and he became very good. Many here refused to believe he would continue to be good . You kept hearing the phrase "smoke and mirrors" about Q.

LOL and you wonder why I want Outman ? Question is if the Dodgers are willing who is he worth. Sosa maybe ?

Entirely possible….I can see a Leury, Romy, Sheets and Seby bench. Which is very underwhelming, especially when the AAA depth is also awful aside from maybe Sosa and Burger.
