Which is the exact reason we should trade Hendriks.  We aren’t a closer away from winning the World Series and should take advantage of this market.

This return seems very light for the A’s

I would expect him to whine about the Sox trading for Moncada in 2016 because he had a bad year in 2022.

Ha. 2022 isn't the only bad year Moncada has had. 2018 and 2020 werem't so hot either. Good thing the Sox didn't give up much for Moncada in the first place I suppose.

More to come it seems

This definitely feels light for an Oakland return so far.

Feel bad for Oakland fans. Team is going to flee the Bay Area soon and they are likely to lose 100 plus games for the next 3 or 4 years.

I do wonder if Braves get Adames and give up Grissom to A’s.

The NL East has three teams that believe they can win 100 games next year.

And with the new schedule format that’s possible.

At least it wasn't Cleveland

That return for the A's is not good so far. If that's it, then they got swindled.

I sure would have been interested at that price. Oakland must be real high on some of these guys?

I had blown off talk about Sox and Murphy with Grandal on the team.  I hoped/figured that with a full off season, Grandal could rehab and return to 80-90 percent and thus be worth catching 80-100 games and DH/1b 40-20 games.  If we were really in on a new catcher, maybe our front office thinks Grandal may be much less available/playable?  In his current medical condition and with his contract, I had considered him untradeable.

So the Brewers gave up a future pinch-runner and got William fucking Contreras for 5 years?!

Holy robbery Batman

The Brewers made out like bandits. They basically got Contreras for Ruiz.

Even Baseball Trade Values wouldn't validate this trade...

His knees probably can’t handle regular catching duties. Throw in the new rules and maybe they fear how much opposing teams will run on the Sox.

Yeah what the f*** is this s%*#? There has to be more to this right? How badly are teams overvaluing Ruiz when it's basically a 1 for 1 for Contreras.

Seems like the Brewers gave up one fast prospect and got a similar prospect PLUS Contreras.. loll Go Brewers
