Imagine being told a year ago the Sox would be 13 games under .500 on May 2nd and they would be promoting Billy Hamilton and Alex Colome to the big team.

I think the only thing more embarrassing that the sox so often grab near-retirement players off the scrap heap because they think they'll be better than the prospects they've built from their farm is that they are often right.

I also don't understand how they aren't performing way more churn among minor league FA and waivers. It was so clear that so many of the Charlotte staff last year couldn't be on the AA team of the Rays.

Actually I do understand - the org is incredibly lazy.

I remember Hostetler bragging about how stupid the prospect writer lists were and how he'd lie to them...but is there any org that seems to toe the value of the top 100 guys mroe than the sox? We rarely trade them, and we all remember Hahn's brilliant trades to grab Casey Gillaspie and a declining Blake Rutherford. It was 100% because they were on the last prospect handbook he had.

Congrats to Sammy Paralta though. While hittable, he is the last sox pitcher in the org who does not walk people.

Bro imagine being told this in 2019 how depressing that would be.

Wow, surprised no one is upset Diekman was DFA’d ?

Me, a year ago: "Yeah, that tracks."

Nice, Billy Hamilton and Alex Colome are on the White Sox roster!!

-Me in 2016 or 2017

They’re going to need Sosa, Colas and Romy getting regular reps so they are prepared to take the spots of the players dumped a month of two from now

Also, SO glad the ever useful Hanser Alberto is back on the roster...

He can take Bummer with him. But Rick Hahn is also a hero to the Bummer family. They owe him at least $6.75 million after this year.

DFA’ing Diekman now instead of in march another typical Hahn stroke. Don’t know if a guy like Avila, for example, would’ve helped any, but we all knew Diekman wasn’t going to

Diekman is not even comparable to Bummer come on now. Aside from 2020 Diekman has always blown chunks

How many roster moves have they made in one fucking month?

Bummer was good for about a season and a half. Bad things happen when he comes into the game.

Whooo hoooo bye bye Diekman!!

14 in and outs on the 26-man, plus a few 40-man changes.

The thing about ditching Ruiz, is yes he is bad. But bad was better than what we had in AAA. His arm is still good, and he’s been fine in AZ
