Thoughts? Can Hahn bring him up to solidify the bullpen in 2024?

Can?

probably.

Should?

f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** no.

No No No! When is this dysfunctional organization going to quit rushing SP's up to be relievers and screw up there progress.

Ok , it worked one time when they took Sale up rapidly and made him a closer. Then fortunately Sale still became a stud starter.

However it failed miserably with Kopech and Crochet. When are they going to learn a lesson? Please please please NO on Schultz.

Schultz and every future starter should be groomed to be able to go 180 innings their rookie year.

I see your point about Schultz, but how about Nastrini and Bush??

Good God no. This kids still got his Mother's tits in his mouth.

Big troll energy.

Same on those two. If they are already starters then groom them to be starters. We can always find bullpen pitchers. A good starting pitcher is still the hardest position to scout and develop...to ultimately get great productivity at the major league level. Hence why the SP's are such a hot commodity right now during the MLB trading frenzy.

Btw, Bush got torched yesterday in the AA Barons 9-4 loss.  3.1 IP, 12 Hits, 7 ER, 1 BB, 0 K's, 2 HR

Good point, the kid is only 19 years old and thank god he chose to play for the Sox and pass on his full ride to Vanderbilt. The kid could be special and we can't ruin him with the idiot logic of Hahn and Getz, who like making them relievers as a build up.

Lol.

Nah...

Lol wtf. This stuff needs to stop. Let the dude groom into an actual starting pitcher and not go down the Kopech, crochet route and derail their career

This is an obvious troll job.

Just Ron being Ron.

When they're competing in 2024?  Competing for what??

I'd like to vote for Ron is trolling.  Where's that option?

Those are some ugly #s for Mr Bush

I know right, very scary after just trading for him.

Where is my option to convert Colas to a reliever?!

First off the Sox aren't contending or competing next year. Not with all the holes they have even in a bad division.

Second, Schultz has very little experience and already has had some arm issues, and rushing him would be another hallmark of stupidity for this organization.

The kid is a starter, let him learn his trade for two/three years in the minor leagues first that way when he is eventually called up he may not fall flat on his face.

Hahn likes the way you think!

Well played, Ron

You really think this is outlandish with Hahn at the helm? I think it's a likely outcome.

Give him a shot at catcher

As the Sox won't be competing in 2024 why screw up his development as a starter like they have done with Crochet, and tried to do with Kopech.

Can Ron get anyone to actually join the Cubs' bandwagon...?

Don’t forget he barely pitched in 2022
