It's telling because guys with a skill gap never seem to get fixed. Lenyn Sosa has been in the Sox organization 10 years now, and is still probably the same defender he was at 16. Korey Lee has been catching in the Sox org since the 23 deadline, and apparently still can't catch a pitching staff.

Never understood the Sosa envy. He couldn't put up serious DH numbers.

So their has to be scouting issues and no coaches with magic wands.

I think the pitching in this organization is overrated.

If he could play a defensive position he'd be way more valuable. In 10 years in the Sox org, he's never been able to do so.

When he was hired, JR was the only owner who would hire him as a GM. 2 years and 7 or 8 months later, it's still the case.

Not even the Nationals or Rockies would hire him...as of today.

On pace for 135 losses so this thread deserves a bump.

Bad 24 hours for rule 5 picks.

You could probably pin this thread, but I have a feeling it won’t need to be and will get plenty of action.

Has JR made any public appearances? Maybe he's incapacitated and that's how these clowns are keeping their jobs.

I am so tired of saying it can't get any worse and they take it as a challenge.

Pretty sure this is going to be the worst team in the history of baseball. There's a bigger gap in team ERA between the 29th team and the 30th team (Sox of course) than there is between number six and number 29!

Weekend at Jerry's!

Shouldn't we be a little proud of Getz for keeping the pace with Boston and Sacramento/LV/Oakland?

Doing all this despite the worst RS/RA differential in MLB and losing by the ten run rule today...(well, going by WBC rules.)

Jerry is as healthy as a horse. He will live to 100.

Don't think anyone has the energy for "Sell the Team" chants on Opening Day with the lousy weather but they're undoubtedly coming again, and soon at this rate.

Maybe JR is not going to turn it over during his lifetime, and maybe never if his son Michael and Mellody Hobson/George Lucas step in and build a Domed stadium somewhere. Star wars.

I am pretty sure by our run differential we should be 0-6, so see how lucky we are!

Transform Soldier Field into the Death Star museum HQ...to hell with ingress egress regress.

JR might be the only one less popular than Congress by 2034...if he hasn't sold by that point.

Surprisingly a few teams have 6-7 errors.

White Soz with just five officially (tied for third worst)...although Acuna could very easily have three in two nights.

Are you all entertained by the Chris Getz experience? He continues to General Manage like he could care less about winning.

I'm sure soon he will go on some podcast and gloat about the process he's putting together.

Dodgers just acquired Jake Eder.

Haha.

10:37am: The Dodgers are set to acquire left-hander Jake Eder from the Nationals, according to Spencer Nusbaum and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Eder was designated for assignment this past weekend when Washington acquired infielder Curtis Mead from the White Sox

For Cash Considerations.

It’s almost scarier that he’s doing his absolute best and this is still the result.

sometimes with Hahn’s free agency decisions…doing the exact opposite of whatever his impulse were would have led to roughly 75% success instead of the opposite 25%

29. Chicago White Sox

Record: 1-5
Preseason ranking: 28

Since it's too early to panic about anything in particular, even something as alarming as the horror show early numbers of the White Sox pitching staff, let's instead zero in on something happy: the proof of concept that has marked the first few games of Munetaka Murakami's debut. Murakami homered in his first three MLB games, displaying the historic power stroke he flashed in Japan. He added a good dose of walks as well, boosting his early OBP. It's an encouraging start for the target of Chicago's surprise hot stove splurge. We still have to see how Murakami handles the adjustments pitchers will surely make against him, but he has shown so far that the power is real. -- Doolittle

Last time I saw him on TV, he looked like someone who was around 75 to 80. He looks very good for a 90-year old man.

More power to him if he can stay healthy into his 90s and make it to the century mark. I just wish he decided that he wants to spend the last decade of his life as Chairman Emeritus of the White Sox and hand over control to the Ishbias once the upcoming labor dispute is settled.
