I think they have pretty much ghosted the site due to embarrassment. How much longer could you defend such an epic failure of a GM? The guy is setting records of futility.

Well I hate gossip, but I've heard they may be protesting the trade of Lenyn Sosa.

So far the bullpen is shaping up to be as awful as the ones in 2024 and 2025.

It's going to be very hard to see any real improvement in the won/loss column unless that gets significantly better.

Eloy Jimenez 4/12

Sosa and Jimenez not exactly saving Toronto bullpen though.

Probably just protesting common sense. One guy thinks he is right about everything, the other worships and cleans the feet of Getz.

Still miss them though....the only poster I was ever glad to see go was Ragah Ragah.

Somewhere, @Harold's Leg Lift is sitting in his straight off the lot, Jeep Grand Cherokee and bashing his head against the steering wheel at the sight of Chris Getz failing and Kelenic busting out of the league in the Sox organization

I still worry about Jack Parkman. Haven’t seen him in a couple years. He was overly distraught.

I'd probably slot into the relatively positive fan camp but my frequent absences from Soxtalk can't be totally blamed on the White Sox. I can only read the same conversations about Chris Getz and the various rushes to judgment about every player and other Sox-related person so many times

You read the same crap about Chris Getz because the same crap keeps happening.

Think he's around as a new name...galy/paly, something like that and baseball combined.

Pitcher deliberately stands there for walk or K (JT Ginn) and you have two outs and bases loaded.

Still much more difficult to score there than with a sacrifice fly.

Gelof who has barely played this year would have been the two out nases loaded hitter.

If you can't return a pitcher wuth the bathroom on his shoulder or sac squeezing....am at a loss for words.

Only lifetime appearance in the batting order...similar spot in lineup after Muncy and Hernaiz.

Will Venable is to be up tonight wondering if he should have IBB'd Muncy and Butler and faced a pitcher with bases loaded and 1 out with Gelof on deck.

I don’t think he needs to wonder; we would not have scored there, but I’ll take it!

Of course, he should have.

I sort of understand the idea of trying to K Muncy, IBB Butler, pitch to a pitcher with 2 outs. When you're a "strikeout Muncy" away from escaping you might like your odds. But it was still a bad move because Gelof was after the pitcher's spot. I go after the pitcher's spot, and Gelof, every time.

100 percent!

If the pitcher was on deck, he would have walked him. I don’t think he or the miraculously put together staff bothered looking farther ahead. Spectacularly bad managerial decision. Fits right in with the rest of what has been going on.

And why was Fedde pulled?
He was doing fine.
The starters have been pretty good overall; it's the bullpen that is terrible, Newcomb included.

If I am remembering correctly, Newcomb's ineffectiveness has been a pretty big reason for the last 2 losses. I think Fedde was only at around 75 pitches when he was pulled.

at least we're not the Mets.

Add that to "It's not that bad"

And with that rousing victory the Sox now move into only 3rd worst in MLB RD at -31 through 1/8 of the season. Fire him? EXTEND HIM!

29. White Sox (previously: 29)
Munetaka Murakami has been as advertised for the White Sox: He doesn’t hit the ball that often, but when he does, he blows you away. His first grand slam, his sixth homer in his first 20 games, on Friday night left jaws dropped. “That,” manager Will Venable said, “was majestic.”

30. Rockies (previously: 28)
It will be a decade this June since Mickey Moniak was drafted first overall by the Phillies in 2016 MLB Draft (in what has turned out to be kind of a disappointing Draft). After bombing out of Philly and a quick stop in Anaheim, he has found a place in Denver: He’s slugging .655 with a .960 OPS. It was a long journey, but he finally will hit arbitration next year, 11 years after being drafted.
