Jackasses...you don't put a Rule 5 pick in that situation on the road in Boston.

Get rid of Vargas Vaughn Maton Palacios lol...Baldwin also needs more defensive development.

Rushed him.

Nashville 7-13 with nary a starting pitcher in sight.

Well...there's always Clevinger.

Sheets 340/933 lol

Wolkow 119/331

I think you mean Charlotte 7-13.

There's plenty to complain about but you're saying we shouldn't start Shane Smith on the road...just because?

No I'm talking about Vasil, our second Rule 5 guy on the roster...having him issue an intentional walk on the road in the bottom of the 10th.

Too much pressure.

Well, the next time he's in that situation, he'll have the experience.

I don’t think it’s more than ordinary pressure.  No matter what in that scenario you are one mistake from ending the game

When’s the last time an MLB Rule 5 pick was in that situation three weeks into a season in the 10th inning on the road in one of the most hostile environments in baseball?

Starting the inning with the winning run on second and no outs…?

This actually sounds like a question that you’d have the answer to

Perhaps they should let his mommy in the dugout so she can hug Vasil while a real baseball player goes out and pitches in that situation? You are beyond funny. He's a pro ballplayer. You crazies scream for the White Sox to take on every single rookie off the waiver wire and to throw them into the fire, except for the rookies the White Sox actually take off the waiver wire.

I have no idea why I even looked into this, but quite literally the first name I looked at in the rule 5 draft Garrett McDaniels (first pitcher taken after Shane Smith) did this two weeks ago in St Louis.

The extra inning rule hasn’t existed that long so it wouldn’t go back that far.

Not sure why rule 5 pick is such a hang up for you like he should be red shirting or something.  Have you seen this roster?  It’s a bunch of guys with very little experience

Yeah it’s no different than another guy making his debut this year.

Well, another of what will be the six worst teams in baseball by the end of the season...reassuring.

I just watched Moneyball for the fourth time.  Perhaps Getz could find some inspiration by quickly viewing.🙂

Just hire Carlos Pena off ESPN...Beane's not even working specifically in baseball in his new role with John Henry/Fenway Sports Group.

Only -.2 position player fWAR through the first 1/8 of the season. We had -6 fWAR from position players last year (lol, wut?) so this is big time credit to Getz.

-1.6 extrapolated vs. -6.0

BIG - TIME IMPROVEMENT...congrats to the Getz Regime

Now go trade one of the last remaining "legit" MLB hitters in Benintendi for pennies on the dollar.

I didn't see that one coming. :notworthy
