Man, Joey Meneses was so good in 2017 with the LV IronPigs. 

Mr. Banks isn’t a having a good go of it early. 

That was the single most hittable pitch I’ve ever seen a Major Leaguer throw.

I was thinking the other day, Harry Caray and Jimmy Piersall would have ate TA alive this season.

 

Was Kopech injured, or just "the opener" today?

Meneses with a single up the middle for the second batter of the rescue. 

Looking at the box score, Kopech pitched the 1st inning, and Tanner Banks is sorta pitching the 2nd inning.....edit Scholtens is in now.

Man, Wash is a bad team but they really did get some cool prospects to kick off the rebuild. I remembered CJ Abrams but I forgot they got Keibert Ruiz.

Can confirm that Banks sorta pitched. 

This seems like a "Pitchers that shouldn't be on the roster next season but will anyways" sort of day.

And Jesse Scholtens completes the rescue! Loaded the bases but managed to get out of it unscathed as Dom Smith flies out to CF.

Because hes a reliever

Someone remind me why Scholtens just didn't start? I know bit of a rough patch for him but he's better than everyone else at this point.

Harry and Jimmy would have raked TA over the coals and it would have been well deserved, no one has called out anybody on this team and someone should have. I know we here at Soxtalk have spent countless hours analyzing the horrific play of the 2023 White Sox but damn it’s unbelievable that this team can be this bad, day after day we are seeing stuff that I didn’t think we would ever see from a Major League team.

I wish I could have heard Harry and Jimmy. I know Jimmy was a frequent guest on Boers and Bernstein. I've searched for their old interviews with him, but can't find any. Most of the old radio from back then isn't available, most likely because a lot of what they said is no longer acceptable/politically correct.
