Also, I meant to add a question mark in the title.

Everything we all thought was going to happen this offseason is actually going to happen.

Well, the MI defense certainly has improved… this team is gonna blow offensively.

I don't understand the rationale behind signing Dejong and trading for Lopez and NOT giving a legit tryout to Sosa or Rodriguez.. Like... We KNOW DeJong and Lopez are garbage, let's see if either of our guys can be just as garbage.. but cheaper.

Yeah I don't get it either...unless they want to commit to DeJong or Lopez as the backup.

Edit: unless Getz just doesn't like Sosa.

Sign all the veteran utility infielders, and when the league runs out, everybody else has to deal with us!! I love it!!

Please be a backup.

I'm...dreaming...of a whiiiiiite

anyway I like DeJong.

As I've said before, he is impressively tall. Someone said they wanted to root for Merrifield cause he runs smart and is fast and tries hard.

I ... am just like being impressed by this big tall man.

Based on their 2023 seasons, an increase of 1.5 WAR over our last SS lol

I'd have had one of the spots pinned for a Sosa/Rodriguez tryout.

Too small of a sample

There will be inevitable games next season when Robert + AV are out and the entire lineup consists of guys with sub ~.280 OBPs

Why can't we just go with our young guys? What is the purpose of signing a declining vet who has been awful

Well, the defense up the middle got a lot better.  That's something, right?  Right?

To keep up the mirage they are still trying to "compete"

Sounds like a David Eckstein type winner

Listen,

Does he hit the ball hard? No

Does he walk? No

Does he make a lot of contact? No

sorry I forgot where I was
