Wow…zero DR signings so far

I don't think that's particularly shocking if the DR is the main source of Latin American talent and the majority of the better DR prospects have agreements a year or 2 in advance. JR wont play in those waters.

Nothing's changed. Too bad they traded Tatis Jr. That could've been a game changer in regards to being more receptive to DR prospects. Instead it's business as usual with JR making the rules.

In comparison...zero excuses the Sox can't have better international signings.

SD traded boatloads for Clevinger, Nola's brother, Soto...

And now back to a Top 5 system with these intl moves over two consecutive years.

White Sox gonna be White Sox. While they landed a top 10 quality kid, the class is incredibly shallow as usual and I suspect they have money left they aren’t going to spend and trade away at some point.

I doubt that this is the full class.

We know of seven players from Venezuela and Profar out of Curacao so far. They'll announce these next week as well as their signings out of the Dominican Republic

I appreciate the new to me info on Suarez, and am very happy with Herrera.

I am not worried about the second half of the article addressing the delay in announcements.

What I believe most White Sox fans are more concerned with is to use all of the available slot money wisely, including young prospects, which has not happened in the past.

Anyone know how much of their bonus pool they didn't use?

Since we don't know who else they signed yet it's impossible to know. They have some DR signings and perhaps others .Seems like they always leave something in reserve for late signees or to trade.

We may get more info this week or later.

The Sox were innovators in this area with Dave Wilder.

Maybe, just maybe, the Sox were waiting for this shoe to drop, now they'll swoop in and sign up all the $1.5 million dollar "16 year olds" as $30k 19 year olds mentioned in the string.

Luis Silverio…Anderson Gomes, etc.

Can scout Brazil for the next Andre Rienzo…Krause’s last official assignment with Sox.

He was signed November 30th and counts toward last year’s pool.

The four players I listed remain the four officially signed through today per posted online transactions. The pool runs between January 15 of this and next year, and they have $2.92M left less any signings they haven’t officially recorded.
