  • AKME gonna try to turn in their 100 2nd round picks for a top 3 overall pick like they're at the prize counter at Dave and Busters.

  • Buehrle>Wood
    Buehrle>Wood

I had very low expectations and that is somehow still lower than them.

  • The Kings really saw the Bulls roll out Zach and DeMar for years and said "we'll do that "

The fact that this 7'4" monster's best play wasn't anything tied to defense or his ability to control the paint, but instead was a logo three with 20 seconds on the clock that silenced an entire area, speaks volumes.

Dude is terrifying for the league.

My only concern with Wemby is that he's unusually tall, unusually tall players don't last long, don't know how durable he can be long term, especially if he gets bulkier with age, so much stress to his knees and joints but other than that, he's a cheat code, GOAT tier talent and hopefully he can have a long career, good kid with a great attitude. I currently live in San Antonio so I get to see how special he is and how much of a difference a franchise like the Spurs are so much better than the Bulls. It's not only Wemby, they have a really talented core of young of players, especially Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper whom along with Wemby will be the players the Spurs will build around as they will surely compete for NBA titles going forward (health permitting)...meanwhile the Bulls remain mediocre 🙄

Health will be Wembys biggest asset going forward. If he can stay on the court, nothing will stop him.

Barring injuries it is hard to see anyone other than the Spurs or Thunder winning the title the next few years. Both teams are young and loaded. The Spurs lottery luck going back to Robinson in 87 is just absolutely ridiculous. They have never had the best lotto odds but have won the lotto 3 times, twice with generational talents in Duncan and Wemby and one time a guy probably just a bit below that in David Robinson but still a clear cut #1 and hall of famer. Then two other times right after getting Wemby they move up and land Castle and Harper. Props to them on Castle since that draft sucked and they made the right pick but getting a no brainer stud like Harper to pair with those two because Wemby had the blood clots last year (similar to getting Duncan because Robinson got hurt) is off the charts good luck. Obviously the Spurs have made a lot of other good moves over the years (Ginobili, Parker, Leonard, etc.) but their run as such a good franchise is built almost entirely on lotto luck.

What an epic choke job by the Cavs.

When playing against James Harden, let the guy he's guarding go to work. No one puts less of an effort into their defensive prowess. I could light him up.

There's one guy the Bulls can't get now.

That's a bummer, he was my favorite candidate. I wonder if they were waiting around for a formal interview on him. Since he's still in the playoffs I believe they could only do zooms.

Splitter is the guy who intrigues me the most but the fact that Portland is not bringing him back gives me concern. Portland was trash for years and Splitter got them in the playoffs. He won Gold as a head coach in a 23U league for Brazil and won a couple titles in France as a HC as well.....Deni didn't become an all star until this past year under him.

I'd be happy with Nori, Quinn, or Kidd as well.

Spurs ahead of schedule.

They'll dominate the NBA for a decade now, barring injuries obviously

I hope the young Spurs pull it off. I actually like the Knicks chances against them unfortunately. I feel they would've had more trouble against OKC.

Bulls are interviewing BYU coach Kevin Young. Pretty interesting name when you consider the #1 player in the draft. Before going to BYU he asks associate head coach for the Suns who made it to the finals, so there's more than just the Dybansta connection.

Would be pretty interesting if they go that route if they can trade up and get his guy. Wizards would very much like to get out of Anthony Davis contract and the Bulls can eat that whole contract.....

Who says no...

Wizards get-

Pick #4

Pick #15

A million future 2s

Bulls get-

Pick #1

Anthony Davis

It's been fun in San Antonio watching this team take over the city. I hope MLB is watching when expansion comes around again.

It isn't even remotely interesting in terms of Dybantsa. The Wizards would laugh in the Bulls face at that trade offer. The Wizards just traded for Davis. They aren't going to hurt the value of the #1 pick to move him.

Oh man the suns being in the finals seems like 1000 years ago totally forgot about that.

wut?

Bulls have a chance to draft a multi time all star and another solid starter in this draft. This is probably the best draft for depth since maybe 2011? NIL pushed a bunch of good prospects back and you have the influx of international players in NCAA and direct from pro leagues in Europe.

So no, it's a deep ass draft and Bulls are in the catbird's seat.

Yeahhhh in hindsight that offer sucks. I was trying to tie some things together. There's been the BYU coach report along with (probably false) reports about tge Bulls trying to trade up and the reports of the Bulls taking on salary.

The thought would be to flip AD later for draft picks but nah, not worth it. Dybansta is probably not gonna be worth Wilson/Boozer plus 15 and whatever you get outta AD.

Oh my god.

Kaplan is saying he fell at home

Drive home safely Stacey 😭

Devasting news - wish his family nothing but the best during these difficult times. When bulls were rolling I loved every ounce of the energy, passion and funny sayings he would bring to the booth. Was always clear how much he loved the Bulls, the game of basketball and the gig that he had too.

He was gonna love Wilson, Boozer or Peterson so much.

This news shocked me. Stacey's calls were part of me growing up, mainly high school age with the prime Rose years. Going to miss his calls, one of a kind in the booth

Was truly blessed to get to enjoy him, Johnny red and crew and of course Hawk and Winmpy and Hawk and his other partners..::truly hope this isn’t the end of memorable announcers for our squads.

So fun in my mind having someone in that booth who loves the team like you do. Seems to happen so much less now a days.

RIP to a legend

Crazy that Kaplan is the only one to reveal cause of death here
