Getz was not qualified to be a GM. We all knew that. Now we get to see exactly why. 

 

A huge part of the problem is that we have heard nothing from GETZ in regards to a direction. 

• He has said that Sox can compete in the division because basically the division was not that good.
• Then he has said he does not like the team
• They have not told us if their rebuilding, retooling, or just fondling themselves 

If you lay out a plan for the people that follow the team and spend their money then people are more understanding, even after a trade like this.

There is no fucking plan or direction laid out here

Look this is still an awful idea, but if you are going to not get any return in a trade anyway, salary relief is better than literally nothing.

Technically, it's Fedde and Pham for Edman.  Then Edman and Kopech for Vargas and two prospects.  Not sure why it needed to be a 3-team deal.  There has to be more.

He's played mostly LF and 1B this year. RF maybe? Honestly who the F knows.

Serious question: is Vargas actually any better than Sosa and Colas? Sosa certainly has had a lot of non-PCL AAA success and at least Colad hits the ball hard. Plus, Vargas is the worse defender of the 3. For those down on Sosa’s D, just wait.

Edman refused to be a white sox, even for just 5 seconds.

Please fire Chris Getz. Please fire Pedro Grifol. Please sell the team.

Certainly a better offensive propect no doubt.

 

It honestly feels like if we traded Fedde, Kopech and Pham, we should have received 4 players back.. Vargas would make sense as a 2nd piece and the other two would make sense as the 3rd and 4th pieces... We literally are missing the headliner.
