That wouldn't have mattered unless for some reason you wanted them going for 2 the second time down four.

Guarantee it will be one of first questions asked after game to Eberass

I think the Hail Mary and fallout has kind of broken Stevenson.  He showed a lot of promise last season and was looking decent this season until that happened.  Now he is just a guaranteed 10 yards

They got 14 points off the final two touchdowns. Exactly as you'd expect and it made no difference in the end. Lots of other things to complain about though

Did Eberflus think a FG didn't win the game or something? He was just letting them march down the field.

The 4th down play in the red zone that they failed to convert was the worst error imo.  Instead of just going for it instinctively, they get confused and Cairo runs on and off the field and they blow it, no points.

100%. And while we got the onside kick, we had another blocked kick and that absolutely insane muff. I’m still blown away how stupid that was.

Badly coached teams beat themselves

No team has ever lost 3 games on last play in a NFL season! Eberass kicks the extra point instead of going for 2 Bears win.

Bears also left 6 points on the field, one blocked FG attempt and they went for it on 4th down when they were in FG territory.

The early two down conversion attempt was strange but like you guys said it didn’t end up mattering.  Flus also blew yet another timeout early in the second half on a bad challenge that he lost.

Perfect - Caleb played great, offense looked good…draft pick looks great and most young players and relevant players trending ok. Oh and Flus will be for sure gone.

The locker room has to stay strong so they can keep building things but Caleb played really well.

Only two more losses and the Bears will have guaranteed themselves another losing season!

McCaskey ownership in full effect!

Go Broncos and Go Bo!

Feels great to have a legit QB again.

You repeat yourself a Iot in This thread.   It’s ok to discuss also

I missed that part of game but saw the outrage. I thought pereira said they couldn’t use boundary footage but the footage *proved* he was in, but bears fans were going nuts on how stupid it was they couldn’t use it. I feel like I missed something.

It looks like his toe is on the line but it’s grainy and over the top.  Peireira said that not all stadiums have that same camera so it can’t be used, which is dumb because why don’t they all have it

gotcha - learned today too that he said it COULD be used for scoring reviews and ...yeah what a dumb rule.

True but as long as current ownership remains really what is there to discuss? How the Bears keep shooting themselves in the foot every week through incompetence?

There's really nothing more to say when you get right down to it.

I think discussing the game as opposed to being a “McCaskey sucks bbrrrrrpt” bot is preferable?  I dunno man the game was good and we all were discussing it.

By that logic, why are you even saying anything?

Uberflus was hired to be a tank commander. His job was to lose as many games as possible in order to get a top 3 pick. It is not easy to wash away the stench from those years of intentional losing. The Bears never should have brought the tank commander back for year 3 no matter what he did.

That five year contract indicates they thought he was gonna be able to get the thing back on track though, with him.  Unfortunately this front office can never get out of their own way, even when they tank

Flus challenged that play yesterday NOT because he thought he saw Addison was out of bounds, but rather because it was an “explosive play”

it’s a wonder why the guy has won 2 challenges in 3 seasons

He was out of bounds though. It's weird. They have a sideline camera, but can't use it for replay because it's not in every stadium. Why not just get the call right? Or just take it out.
