  • Not weird.  IMO opinion, the timing and selection of the Ramova venue was a fantastic decision. The renovated theatre/restaurant/ brewery near 35th and Halsted is beautiful.  Support from private inve

Eh, I’m not so sure about that.  I think plenty of Sox fans would actually pay the money to go blast Jerry and Getz.  I wouldn’t, because then I would be funding these clowns more money.  But many Sox

  • What the Sox don't seem to realize is that they are not losing so-called "fair weather fans." They are losing some of their most loyal fans. And if that is truly happening, what do you have left? Deni

The elation from the Slater signing knows no bounds.

s%*# location lol I used to park over by that bar and park just south of there back in the day for free parking and used to walk past there. Didn't even know there was a theater there lol

Gotta keep the venue small or the collective negativity could open up a portal to the Upside Down.

I never thought there was anything wrong with how the event was structured in the past. Those who wanted to seek autographs did so, those who wanted to attend seminars did so, and you could walk through sales and attractions throughout. This change seems like it'll be messy and less structured. Kinda like the roster construction so I suppose it fits.

I can certainly understand why they wanted a smaller venue. We'll see if they can even sell this one out.

"SoxFest Live" really isn't much of a rename. That's kind calling it ZoxFeZt, and claiming they renamed it.

That would be a positive thing.

Could be all it takes to go from 121 losses to 121 wins in one season.

Are we not in the Upside Down now?

It was recently renovated to be a music venue and a brewery (Other Half, based out of NY) opened up in there. Have not been to the venue but have heard good things. Think it's pretty small though, maybe 1500 capacity.

I'll take back part of what I said then. But still doesn't sound like the best location.

I imagine The Ramova is faaaar cheaper than the Hyatt or Palmer House.....which is your answer regarding venue change. Looks like the kids portion is in an entirely different location which is ridiculous.

It doesn't look that bad but as someone who used to go when I was younger, I would be disappointed it's not somewhere downtown.

Hosting a downsized version of Soxfest there gives me visions of Hahn's infamous Reggie's chat. Better optics than canceling again, but this definitely feels like them limiting public scrutiny from fans.

Totally agree. Small venue and there's not a hell of a lot to do in the vicinity. Better than nothing, but a far cry from Soxfests of the past.

This team deserves the old Ramova theater....rats and all.

I can’t believe anyone would actually pay to go to SuckFest.

The former International Amphitheater grounds feel more fitting, with the smell of melting pig fat wafting in the air from up the block.

I used to love going there as a kid when the circus came to town....plus the smell made it even more authentic.

The venue holds like ten people. This is honestly so funny.

Another wonderful decision by this tone deaf organization

Getz should have kept his signing a secret and announced it as a surprise at SoxFest.

Think there may be a cynical reason for that?  🤣
