Staring at 0-4 with a run differential of -22. They're the new Sox, or something. Or maybe that's the Brewers.

Brewers starting a guy for their home opener I’ve never heard of.

One of the Sox favorite past times is starting guys they're going to designate a few days later.

So if the Sox pull Perez, they will have been the first team in MLB history to have their starters give up 0 runs in the first four games of a season. What a crazy sport this game is.

In game interviews with the starting pitcher after the fact is awesome.

only 11 teams in MLB history had starters allowing no runs in 3 games, and 4 in 4? Wow! Don't stop now boys!

Be aware of the fielders and keep away from them.

That’s basically the best way to summarize it. As a baseball coach, I’ve gotten into arguments with opposing coaches about this. The common misconception is that “my base runner has the right to the base path.”

That’s false. You have to avoid the defender if the defender is in the process of making a play. If there’s no play, then the defender has to avoid the runner.

0 earned runs.

That's all pitchers care about anyway lol. And if it were like 8 unearned I'd be hesitant to give credit.

But are they still "one of the worst teams of all time"?

Their projection is for about 50 wins. If they shock the world, they'd lose less than 100 games. No matter how you cut it, this team will be very bad.

Funny thing is that when the Giants did it back in 2013, one of their four starters gave up 2 unearned also.

How is Perez doing this?

Perez is solid. The k's are surprising, but he knows how to get big leaguers out with lesser stuff and has made a career of it. He'll finish around a 4.4 ERA as he has most of his career.

Devers with two more Ks.

Getz's and Venable's "professionals" are winning this one today quite handily.

Which is why he was so valuable in August and September last year...as for Paddack, he looks cooked.

I think Schiffren has been pretty entertaining this year. I do like that he seems to talk to a lot of the guys/Will a lot and always has little tidbits on stuff they say.

I think he's toned it down a little. Love that they don't do the fucking nationwide jingle

6 no hit innings with 9Ks and the fastest pitch he threw was 89.9mph 😅

Agreed. I was shocked that a couple rough months with the pirates tanked his value so much. He was solid in SD and in a game desperate for arms he's serviceable, reliable.

He'll get lit up plenty, but he's capable.

Digging the movement on Vasils pitches.

Weird inning.

One of Vasil's Red Sox heroes growing up in Boston was Christian Vasquez.  MLB debut.

Twins 19-2 against Sox dating back to May 2023.  Now 19-3.

12 of last 13.

6 really close games   4 by just one run.

Vasil looks like he's 40 lol

Just rest in a blowout

There’s hope for Thorpe after all

Baldwin with the friend hit ruling at home.

Julian really is not a good fielder.

Eisert...definitely an unorthodox delivery that looks like shoulder issues in the future.
