Given all the evidence that has been presented to us over the last decade plus, and quite frankly what we’ve had to endure as fans, I have ZERO issues with a former player speaking out his experience, good or bad. And his comments track with multiple other comments that have been made by other players over the last few years. This organization has not shown any interest in keeping up with where the sport and their competition, and IMO Lynn and others have zero obligation to “cover” for this organization. He was asked a question and answered it. Good for him. Also the "it's a business" stuff goes both ways - yes, he signed an extension and stayed here ... because we gave him money. I've also worked for a job that sucked but paid me. He made the decision to stay because it's a job and they gave him an opportunity to make more money. He did what he did, and he said what he said. I don't fault him.

Some people have the mind to shut up about it when asked (Giolito). Don't hear Cease running his mouth either. It would be more meaningful if players who were still any good were talking. There are two ways for this ship to turn around: 1) JR dies 2) JR is publicly shamed into changing by having former players continue to speak out. I would rather not have to rely on death as a beacon of hope, just as far as my personal morality is concerned.

Soxfest
Yet Lance had no issue cashing the checks on the 15th and 30th. Signed an extension to boot. Never was in shape for one start in a Sox uniform. You were stealing last year of deal, getting smoked about every start. Edited April 11 by Soxfest

Probably because he knew the Whites Sox would let him get away with such behaviour.
The Mighty Mite
Yes, he was a part of the problem but as far as the White Sox being behind other organizations, he is spot on, this is the most dysfunctional organization in professional sports and it all starts with the stubborn POS owner. He was asked a question and answered it. Good for him. Do you have a issue with hypocrisy? Because I do. Lynn can't, years after the fact, come on and complain about the management problems and imply that he cared about winning when he was with the Sox; when it is absolutely clear that he didn't care about winning at all. Lynn knew, KNEW that if he lost weight, he would be a better pitcher and help his team win (teams, both the Sox and the Dodgers). But he did nothing to lose that weight and just joked about it when asked by the press. He certainly was thankful for Sox management when they silenced/ shamed Steve Stone because Stone said that Lynn would have better stamina or something like go longer in the game or whatever. I remember that Stone was silenced and (I think) halfway apoligized, even though Stone was 100% corrrect, and he was being kind the way he said it. This coming out of Lynn's mouth, however valid, is total BS and just another example of his weakness of character.

If I had a contract or you had a contract worth 8 figures, you would definitely be able to speak up. Also, Lynn saw the conditions, yet signed an extension. Everything he said is probably true, but at this point, why say it?

I've never said the organization was peachy when KW/Hahn were in charge. Weird how, once the ex-director of development is put in charge, he starts making the changes that were needed. Almost like he wanted to all along, but couldn't. I'd actually like to see any evidence that KW/Hahn were begging Getz to upgrade areas of development, and he didn't, in a craven move to get his bosses fired and for him to take over leadership.
