How is Sean Newcomb starting a game in the major leagues? Follow up: How is it not for the White Sox? Him going out and dominating the Sox would be just about right.

This would be my guess as well, along with the lineup spot.  I hope in a week or two we are laughing about Vargas being at the top of the lineup instead of Meidroth.

Please, please please ... if you go to the game tonight tell us how many fans really are there and please tell us the percentage of fans are Red Sox fans. I'd say crowd of 19,000 and 12,000 are Bosox fans.

Just watch and judge for yourself.

He will take a lot of walks and has very solid plate discipline compared to the swinging and failing parade of stiffs.

Still a symptoms of the game. Could be that the Sox just have pitchers that have been healthier and havent had it yet.

Luckily many of the prospects coming up have already had it.

They don't really do Tommy John surgery for a hamstring tweak, but you could always hope. 

I hope Meidroth’s parents are recording this game for him, including the pregame.  It’s all Meidroth, all the time.
