I'm just here to say Tim Anderson was a big success and doesn't deserve to get lumped in with everyone else.

I agree. I broke my "don't buy an active player jersey" rule for a TA Southside jersey. But if you mention him nowadays, everyone will spit his name out with venom because of how it ended. Hell, people love celebrating him failing with the Marlins and Angels.

Anderson did have some success but was also a victim of his own hubris, poor decisions off the field and yes some bad injury luck.

I don't find fault with fans who put him in the same class as all the other underachievers the past several years with this dysfunctional organization.

You're right but man he just about fell completely off a cliff when everyone else did.

Right about the time Tony LaRussa came back to the White Sox, pretty much every one fell apart.

With only a month and a half left until the trade deadline, do you just hit him third behind Tauchman and Meidroth at this point and try to give him the most at bats behind guys that get on base a lot?

Edit: or 4th behind Vargas

Robert is the last member of the 2021 White Sox remaining.  Just a matter of time. Under 7 weeks to go.

Imagine being told in 2021 that in 4 years, every player from the team will be gone but TLR will still be with the organization.

That’s just fucking cruel.

Some people have Trump Derangement syndrome. Others TLR syndrome..

Anyone who thinks Tony LaRussa brought anything positive to this organization this time around is truly derranged.

Scary that he is touring the farm system.

Nope, Taylor got the start, why did they even bring Baldwin up, hasn’t started a game since his recall, typical White Sox.

Maybe it's because he now disdains eye black.

Pretty much when we get articles like this, it seems as if we get a fraction of that return at the deadline.

Jim Bowden is outrageously bad at his job.  No one is giving up real value for Robert.  Certainly not a top 5 system prospect that was a first round pick last year that has pitched pretty well so far this year plus two more prospects.

Wasn

Was he the one of Foul Territory praising Getz trade deadline last year?

AJ had to bring some reality in that.

BTW hopefully they avoid the multi team deal.  One is guaranteed to get burned.  It wont be hard to figure who will get burned. It's always the organization that is bad at scouting, development, and drafting.

Trying to multi quote here but this site with ads has become horrendous.

So Padres 1st, 3rd, and 4th round pick from last year? I doubt we will get close to this.

Do the Padres have a comp pick that can be moved?

You're probably right.  As a sweetener, the Padres can take any reliever they want (except Taylor).  Heck, take 2.

I wonder what the Sox could get for Martin. If they get a premium offer for him, they should move him; but only for a premium. -
