Originally...then it converted.

$1.5 million for 5.2 innings, 2 losses, and a 7.94 ERA.

Last season, Clevinger “earned” $3 million for 16 innings, 3 losses, and a 6.75 ERA.

Great deals if your agent can find a GM stupid enough.

At least for Clevinger, I am willing to give Getz a break if the ownership insisting on his signing is true.  Though that tells me that Getz doesn't really have nearly as much power for CHANGE as we are being led to believe.

I've always called Getz and most front office employees puppets of Puppetmaster Reinsdorf.

I have no idea who's been leading you to believe Getz had more power for CHANGE .

I think the budget for the roster was drastically cut but CHANGE was allowed for hiring people since civilians cost a lot less than players. There was also the $800K Trajekt Machine. Don't know if they bought just one. Upgrades in R & D but to what extend is hard to know. New DR Academy being built with new Director of International Scouting. Again don't know if that's window dressing or will result in better recruitment of Dominican players .

MLB did start this program in 2018 . https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/mlb-starts-trainer-partnership-program-in-latin-america/

Maybe that's made JR less controlling about DR ballplayers  but I haven't seen much progress in the 6+ years since that program with Latin America countries to try to lessen steroid use started. We really don't know if our scouting presence or ability to sign better players will increase. Our lack of presence  and the 2008 bonus skimming scandal over the last 50 years has cemented the Sox as afterthoughts in the International market outside of Cuban. This could be attributed to JR's friendship with Minnie Minoso.

Our one chance at making a difference in the DR came when Paddy signed Tatis, Jr.

Good, then the abused baby mama has more to sue for. I hope she gets it all. I want my taxes to pay for schools, and I want my White Sox entertainment money to go towards unwed mothers.

He can reject and hit free agency. However, if he wants to continue pitching somewhere, he should accept. Don’t think he will though.

I thought if he rejected the assignment that would be reported with the transaction.

Can we get a dislike reaction? Or is that just hat the TLR one is for?

I always thought of the TLR one as a reaction to something absolutely bonkers or that you completely disagree with.

Conversely, the Hawk one is for something completely goofy that you like.

Yep, TLR has his mouth open and is staring like he’s shocked at what happened, or in this case at the post he just read.

If he rejects, it's usually reported as cleared wiavers and elected free agency. Unfortunately for us, no one else wants his sorry ass so he chose to stay in the org.
