And what exactly would they gain by that?

I have no idea. But with the off sides on the Seattle touchdown drive and the late hit on diggs all very obvious.

I can’t imagine what the online discourse would be if Caleb put up the performance Maye just did….people would be begging for Bagent lol.

It seriously wouldn't surprise me to see a K-pop or J-pop halftime show in the next few years. The NFL is about expanding their audience. I'd go for this:

A K-Pop singer from Oklahoma won the only version of the American Eurovision. She beat Michael Bolton.

Could you imagine if he had won MVP, what the discussion would be right now

I saw so many 2024 re-draft posts the last two weeks that were Maye #1 and Caleb #3.

I think the Bears are good.

I do think Maye is good, but this playoffs was ridiculous.

Seahawks were a monster all year, just didn’t have the prime time whooping just close games with rams.

John Schneider is incredible with defense. Found so many impactful guys in many routes (draft, FA, trades).

Called high on Russ and Geno and just a year or two late with Pete.

incredible exec.

I’m all about hating on the Patriots, but are we trying to take a victory lap over them (and their QB) going deeper into the playoffs?

I think of the two items, patriots D was legitimately good and deserved to be in the Super Bowl. Vrabel is a wizard there.

but it is incredible how lucky their path was. It was patriots esque.

I think Caleb, Daniels, Maye and Nix are all gonna be stars if they stay healthy.

It's just funny because it seems that for the past three years I've seen:

  • The Bears regret trading the pick and passing on Stroud!
  • The Bears regret not trading their pick and taking Caleb instead of Daniels!
  • The Bears regret not taking Maye! (Admittedly, this one is WAY lesser)

I mean the only regret is that that Bears don't have the Patriots defense, because if Drake had the Bears defense, he would have been golfing a month ago.

I think it’s just he was horrendous in playoffs. Played the one qb who did worse in playoffs, (stroud) then needed 10 pts against Stidham.

Caleb threw into but amazingly has a positive EPA to Mayes like negative .4

Maye was 1 first place vote away from winning MVP just 4 days ago. Now he's getting piled on for having one of the worst Super Bowl performances of all time. Life comes at you fast.

It sucks for him since he had a great year, schedule or not. The Patriots were also just ahead of schedule, much like the Bears. But just like the Bears, there's no guarantee they'll be back in this same spot next year. Their schedule gets much more difficult. But they also have a lot of cap space to improve their talent level. I thought they straight up did not have the talent to match up with the Seahawks, which makes sense for a team that was ahead of schedule and won 4 games last year.

I think the general consensus was that Maye played terribly for most of the playoffs and got carried by their defense. The Patriots defense didn't give up more than 16 points in any of their AFC playoff games. Whereas while Caleb did not play well for large portions of his playoff games, he put the Bears in a position to win. You could argue they won against the Packers because of him. I don't think you can say the same for Maye.
