Contact play works better with a fast baserunner, but this one was doomed because of where the ball was hit. Right up the line; If he tried to go back to third, he gets tagged out.

Have we gotten confirmation that Tauchman got hurt on that play? Any chance he got benched for making a bad baserunning decision?

Another bad loss after showing some heart.  Altavilla was looking good then did a 180.  I don't get what the hell Getz is doing putting these players together.  The vets he's acquired suck, with the exception of Vargas, who looks like a star because of who's around him, and Tauchman who's an average player with a higher OPS.  The bullpen is a wreck.  The suck starts at the top.

Well that's eight in a row now, very good chance they have another double-digit losing streak.

They've never had three straight seasons with a 10-game or more losing streak, it would be the first time in the 125 year history of the franchise that will have happened.

No managers truly have a clue. It's all about talent. Venable is just another guy, which is OK. If Ozzie would have taken a couple off season classes on how to deal with the media, he should still be our manager. In those pregame dugout chats he'd get himself in trouble over and over again. Yep.  Bottom of the 9th, runner on 3rd, 1 out.  Just needed a sac fly to the outfield or a single and it would have been a walk off.  Then the pen loses it again.
