Nice game yesterday let's try and do the same today.  Houser against some guy with an ERA around 5 named Burrows.

First of all the pitching is much better than last year, league average ERA is 4.04 and the Sox are 4.10, last year we were last with a 4.67 ERA. It’s the hitting that’s killing us, last in OPS, last

They had that game right before the all star break where they were hitting rockets all over the field at people, so I'll take it.

Hard to believe...But I feel confident about a W tonight.

The 35 pitches seen by the Sox in the first last night are the most Pirates have had to throw to start a game all season. Would like to see them keep making pitchers work.

Would also like to see Sosa in the IF and Quero at DH, but alas.

Yeah no more Rojas please.

Brooks, you hit a dong yesterday and we took you off the IL. You’re going to ride the bench.

I predict Josh Rojas will get a hit tonight. The Moon's Phase will be the Wanig Cresent which bodes well for Rojas.

Can we bring Korey Lee or Sabol up so Quero and Teel can both play every day.

Trade Teel for a young ready to go outfielder at this point. Pointless to keep him if you aren't going to play both of them. And so far, Quero looks better (and switch hits).

I assume it will happen when guys are dealt and Rojas is released.

I dont think they want Quero facing too many RHP. His ops is 565. As opposed to 983 when facing LHP. He does have more games and AB against RHP though. They seem to be slowly working it in.

How is it pointless to not play a catcher and back-up catcher every day ?  Actually, that is an ideal situation.

Because they are both key pieces to the future. Are you always going to sit one of your best bats every game? Seems dumb!

First inning quite a difference from last night.

I’ve seen a lot of players come and go but Tommy Pham is the most intense I’ve ever seen.

This.  You have a line up of places you could be letting them both hit in, and instead you bench a promising bat.  It's dumb.

Man, Meidroth needs to keep the tag on the guy at second instead of showing his glove to the ump as he slid clear past the base. That review could have gone against us.

They are hitting Houser hard so far. Hopefully they won't have much to show for it.

EDIT: Nope! Leadoff triple is stranded. The Pirates are real bad.

I think that was Colson?

Not being able to bring in a leadoff triple:

Pirates 🤝 Sox

Burrows has been basically untouchable so far. Wide strike zone not helping.

The way that ball jumped off Cruz bat and just went to the wall….Crazy strong

Yeah, if they’re literally 2 of your best young bats, they should both be in the lineup daily. Tray is just fuckin dumb

Well this is awful
