Also, Colson could be an elite defensive 3B. And this isn’t intended to be a dig, but they also like Meidroth at SS much more than you do. Chase got high praise from his AAA teammates for his defense at SS last year. His value is way higher if he can stick at SS than forced to be a 2B. Right or wrong, I think that is a real factor here.
