almagest
Team: Individual: Quero - .304/.338/.491/.831 Sosa - .291/.336/.544/.880 Vargas - .286/.349/.455/.803 Robert - .303/.370/.461/.831 Baldwin - .268/.339/.518/.857 Teel - .306/.351/.472/.823 Montgomery - .212/.255/.538/.793 Some encouraging signs so far with the younger guys and a nice bounce back from Robert. Hopefully they can keep it up throughout the rest of the second half.
chitownsportsfan
Kids have done a nice job. It's too bad we weren't playing Baldwin all year. He's a butcher, he's also got a strong bat potentially.
caulfield12
But the bullpen...well, Getz might address that around 2027/28. Hopefully. (The Twins somehow traded almost their entire pen at the deadline and are hanging in there...including Trevor Megill (past deal) and Jh.Duran.) CaliSoxFanViaSWside
I dont know man, this looks like Sox propaganda. Getz has no idea what he's doing with all the money JR gives him. The coaches clearly didnt develop any hitters. We all know Sox history shows they cant develop hitters. Just lucky so far. A bunch of high character guys all supporting each other means nothing. caulfield12
Well, now they have hitting but not enough pitching, lol. Btw JR actually isn't giving Getz any money to spend. Depending on what happens with L.Robert and Alcantara in the offseason, the Sox might have the lowest payroll in baseball on OD 2026 after being over $200 million just 4-5 years ago. caulfield12
White Sox haven't had too much pitching since McCarthy/Vasquez 2006.
southsider2k5
Should we have been playing the kids, instead of playing shitty, washed up, old utility players? No, it's Hahns fault.

caulfield12
Virtually inevitable after last two nights. Colson now in free fall and now dealing with the defensive lapse as well.

caulfield12
Gavin Sheets, who hardly even plays anymore, is tied with Lenyn Sosa with 17 homers and four ahead in RBIs, 58 to 54. Holy Sheets!!! greg775
Tauchman having a good year has helped. I still like Beni. Quero, Teel can hit; Montgomery obviously can hit; Robert has been better prior to all star break and after. Sosa has 17 homers. We can hit. The problem with our team figures to be pitching in the future. Sox have a bunch of no names who haven't had to ever pitch in a pressure situation cause of our team's burying itself the first six weeks of the season. No pressure at all. Sox need to work on the rotation this offseason. Bullpen has stunk forever it seems.
Kyyle23
It’s been all or nothing, seems like. The Royals was mostly nothing, Braves started off with all, ended with nothing lol
joejoesox
They're scoring a lot of runs, but where's the pitching? If the Sox think they can just fill up a rotation and bullpen with retreads and draft picks and get back to the playoffs in the next 2 years, they're out of their minds. if they don't spend on pitching or trade away assets for a couple 1-3 guys, they're gonna be bottom 5 of the league for at least a few more years and do we really want Katz running the show? There's no way they are getting back to the playoffs in the next two years regardless of what they do. JR is still running the show, the owners are going to lock out the players and try to force a salary cap which could jeopardize at least a part of the 2027 season if not more. JR isn't going to be spending any real money on good players with that scenario hanging out there.

The Sox have done IMHO irreparable damage to the franchise, another 3 to 4 years of the same s%*# could destroy any semblance of success moving forward for decades You can't expect to be successful running out a team that loses 100+ games for an extended number of years, this is unprecedented for a large market team. This franchise is 100% fucked for the long term if they don't spend money
